"Let me start by telling you my backstory. I live in a house built in 1929, it has a stone foundation. It wasn't until Hurricane Sandy that I felt the effects of a house that had no waterproofing and we had about three feet of water. We did a little bit of mitigation, and had no more problems for awhile. More recently, NY had five days of non stop rain and the walls in basement and flooring barely held it together. So that's when I knew I really had to do something. Every time we heard the weather report we would keep checking that basement and our little water pump. The water pump did ok, but we had wet vacs and worked like a team, but the water was coming up through the floors. Just a little 2-3 inches can cause so much damage. This is climate change, a lot of my friends were suffering from flooding for the first time and it wasn't going to get any better. So that was it, my husband and I interviewed four different places. They were all professional, but there was something about the detailed 2 hour interview that Scott Cort, one of their top inspectors did with us and we knew that was the place we were going to deal with. Plus he dealt with a multitude of questions from my husband and didn't flinch. He was patient, showed us exactly what they would do to protect the basement from flooding. He saw how stressed I was and just plain tired of this. It was a very comprehensive plan. Scott explained the lifetime warranty. The system is self-cleaning and requires zero maintenance. They were able to come out the same week and arrived right on time on the day of service. The crew was very courteous and explained what they were going to do. Top notch service and a very reasonable price to have new crown installed with stainless steel chimney cap and cleaning. They even removed a broken sliding screen in my fireplace! "Jason was very easy to work with and provided suggestions for seeding and subsequent treatment due to the terrain and soil. There were a number of unanticipated stumps in the area which caused a lot of roots to be eliminated after the fact. I still have not got to the point where I should mow the new growth which has been a slow process. Jason did a nice job on the excavation part and he did all the work maintaining previous drainage contours put in years ago.He was flexible, knew his business, and easy to work with and adjust aspects of the job."
