"Matt from Bearclaw was very quick to reach out and set up our initial visit. Dan came for the appointment and he was thorough with inspecting the house, filling in possible pest entrances, and setting traps. We are very happy with the results and the pricing is fair."

"That there was a follow up done by (Matt) their quality control manager and we were able to come up with some points in seeing a more improved lawn in the future. They even sent out a inspector to do a quality inspection."

"Andrew and his family are top notch. They are easy to work with, understanding, responsive, and calm when faced with the anxieties a family experiences when they find they have bed bugs in the home. I also want to note that the Best Pest Control team understands that bed bug dogs are useful in detection, suggests them when necessary to lessen the expenses of treatment, and importantly, insists that an outside company provide the dog so that there is no conflict of interest. My family benefited greatly from hiring the dog first because we ended up only having Andrew's team treat a couple of rooms, rather than the entire house, but the dog was hired on Andrew's suggestion. In summary, Best Pest Control is extremely professional and prompt, and I would recommend them without question. I also will be hiring them for other pest control problems in the future."

"George Massoud of NJ Pest Defense did an EXCELLENT JOB. He was very informative, punctual, and knowledgeable in his field. From the phone call to the actual appointment he gets an A PLUS!! He explained in detail what he saw,.. looked in all areas inside and outside my home and suggested exactly what I needed. He explained everything he was doing to rid my home of the animals and also explained the bait traps and items bait used assured me they were SAFE and EFFECTIVE. George was VERY honest in his price as well. In this day and age it is hard to find an HONEST, FAIR, dependable and knowledgeable person in this field. I will DEFINATELY use NJ Pest Defense and highly recommend them as well."

"I highly recommend Mel Rich's Nu Tech Pest Control. He is good-humored, prompt, and well-priced. More importantly, he solved my problem. Fortunately, I did not have any additional pest problems, but I'm sure that he would have been as successful dealing with them as he was eliminating the mice.

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Pest control and wildlife removal are different services. Pest control specialists typically handle insects and bugs, often using chemicals and poisonous sprays for extermination. Wildlife removal professionals, on the other hand, focus on larger animals. They prioritize humane methods like trapping and relocation, using poison only as a last resort. For insect problems, contact a pest control professional; for issues with other animals, an animal or wildlife removal specialist is the correct choice.

Typically, bed bugs live for four to six months. However, they can live even longer in cool conditions without any food. Bed bugs breed frequently, giving rise to dozens of babies that can quickly infest your home, so it’s best to keep a vigilant eye out if you suspect bed bugs may be around.

Exterminators remove mice in walls by identifying entry points and sealing them to stop further access to these spaces. They may then open drywall to place food-scented traps inside for capture and then reseal to open and retrieve traps later. Next, they place traps along walls or baseboards inside, as mice tend to follow walls using their whiskers for guidance. Afterward, they may recommend repairs or modifications to prevent future infestations.

Sort of. Hornets are a subsection of wasps with some unique characteristics (along with yellowjackets and similar types of insects). Hornets are generally rare in the United States, with European and Asian hornets the two notable examples.

Hornets tend to be significantly larger than wasps, often larger than one inch. They are also typically white or brown striped instead of yellow like many wasps. They tend to be one of the more aggressive types of wasps, which when combined with their size makes them a priority for homeowners.

Squash bugs technically aren’t invasive, as they are native to North America. However, this doesn’t mean that they aren’t incredibly destructive. These pests can cause significant damage to squash, pumpkins, and other cucurbit crops by feeding on plant sap and injecting toxins that cause leaves to wilt, dry out, and die. In large numbers, squash bugs can decimate entire plants (especially younger ones), making them a major nuisance for home gardeners and commercial growers alike.
