"Tony and his son Tony were great when they came by to install 2 windows. They were a bit tardy but everything else made up for it. They were great with my dog. And they were clean and tidy. The first windonwas huge. A 3 panel picture window and they made quick work of it. The other window was a double hinged regular window. Both were original to the house old and wood. They but down drop cloths to make sure my carpet wasn't disturbed. Once they got out the old windows the new ones went in quite quickly. They finished everything up with beautiful trim and neat caulking. When they were done they removed all the garbage and swept up debris. All in all everything went great from the first contact at BJ's to the finished product."

"Roofing its something no home owner ever wants to do, but most have to go through. I won't even lie I wasn't even planning on getting a new roof, but Dale Knocked on my door and thats where the process started. My roof did go through insurance & aside from signing paper work/paying my deductible A1 handled everything. Obviously specific details from the insurance goes to you and then given to A1. Its not a short process and there is paperwork you have to sign, but all In all it did take me about 4 to 5 months where the process was started to roof replacement. Dale handled interactions with showing my the conditions of my roof and how to go about getting it put through the insurance. The only hiccup was that I have solar panels and I did feel like they where taken down to early (almost 5 months off), but I made my concerns known and one of the Managers called me and credited me $500 bucks (100 per month) that the panels where off. They did tell me setbacks in productions and things happen, but made me happy by giving me this credit. Didn't fight me on it, and didn't make me feel like I was just an insurance check on the other end. You can trust A1 home improvement with your home. I would like to thank Dale for his work & all the others that helped me throughout one of the most stressful process there can be for a house."

I had a chimney rebuild and the team were able to salvage and reuse the old bricks. The chimney looks great. The price was competitive. They even paved a crack in my front steps with the leftover cement."

"I called them because they have a full page ad on the back of my local Plymouth, CT newspaper. I needed a door replaced and I knew it was going to be a custom order. The phone number rang to a call center and they took my message. Didn't hear back for days. I called to follow up and eventually a "contractor" called me. He refused to inspect worksite and instead asked for photos, texts and measurements. Weeks later he texted me to say he had a quote for the work but he didn't actually tell me the quote. He then IGNORED my calls and texts. After multiple attempts to call or text with no response and NO QUOTE, I have given up on this company. WORST CONTRACTOR EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. I guess they would rather bill your insurance company than do a "small" cash job? THERE ARE BETTER CONTRACTORS IN CONNECTICUT. USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK."
