"Incredible experience. Matt and Miseal came to my 1960s era condo in rural CT to do an assessment of what I wanted. Matt (a veritable genius) recommended in order to save time (labor $) and to help bring my aging condo into the 20th century, to install the new Lutron Caseta system. Turns out, it’s Alexa, Google, and Apple compatible, in addition to just being wireless. Over the decades, Ive wired outlets, switches, ceiling fans, and fixtures of all types many, many times. This system is light years ahead of “old school”. With a simple Echo Dot or Echo Show and the affordably priced Caseta bridge, even my adult son could easily control my lighting and ceiling fans from his house or anywhere in the world. Incredulous! This system actually becomes part of your environment, so to speak. Anyhow, I got the quote a day or so later from Equipment Unlimited and was “dead nuts” right where I thought it would be and thought was reasonable. 1 week later, everything is done, working perfectly, not a single glitch. Again… incredulous. Matt and Miseal were neat and tidy, which was great because their working with me there did not ignite my OCD. Cleaned and used a tarp as they went from one area to another. If you’re looking to electrically update your home, consider yourself freaking lucky if you get Matt and Miseal. Personable, clean, on time, reasonable and yes, even a sense of humor; a rarity among electricians. EXCELLENT JOB, Matt and Miseal from Equipment Unlimited. You made this old swamp yankee a very happy guy."

"Installed the bathroom fan/light which wasn’t super easy, they had to crawl through insulation in the attic. Also changed out the broken switch on the outlet while they were there which was nice. Not terribly pricey"

"M Craft did a very good job installing new walls and stone tile around my fireplace. Miro worked when agreed and did a fine job sanding the joint compound after replacing our wood paneling with drywall. He performed the work himself with one helper. The tile on the fireplace looks nice. My project involved an electrician, whom Miro was able to work around. The price was quite reasonable."

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

For Fairfield, start spring by inspecting basement and attic corners for signs of termites or rodents, and clear yard debris to reduce tick habitats. In summer, check window screens and outdoor furniture weekly for spider webs and wasp nests. Fall is ideal for sealing gaps in siding and cleaning gutters. During winter, monitor for rodent droppings indoors and plan for early spring mosquito prevention. Adjust routines for local pest trends.

Helpful?

Yes, combining pest control with upgrades like basement waterproofing or attic insulation is especially effective in Fairfield’s older homes. When replacing siding or repairing stone foundations, integrate pest exclusion barriers to prevent future infestations. Pairing landscaping projects with tick or mosquito control is ideal for properties near wooded areas. Coordinating these tasks can streamline scheduling and reduce the likelihood of repeated disruptions.

Helpful?

In Fairfield, schedule pest control if you notice mud tubes on foundation walls, frass (fine sawdust) from carpenter ants, or increased mosquito activity after rain. Listen for scratching in attic spaces or walls, and check for wasp nests under eaves. Spring and fall are key times for termite inspection and rodent exclusion, especially as weather shifts can drive pests indoors.

Helpful?

In Fairfield, schedule pest control right away if you spot termites, carpenter ants, or rodents, especially in basements or crawl spaces common in older homes. Wasp nests near entryways or children’s play areas also require urgent attention. For minor ant trails or mosquito prevention, plan within a month. Prioritize tick control before outdoor activities ramp up in spring and rodent-proofing before the first cold snap.

Helpful?

In Fairfield, unexpected costs often stem from repairing wood trim or porch supports after termite or carpenter ant infestations, or replacing chewed wiring from rodents. Waterfront homes may need additional mosquito prevention, while properties with stone foundations often require extra sealing. Emergency calls during peak summer or fall can add fees, and homes in historic districts may need specialized, non-invasive pest exclusion methods.
