Walterscheids WaterFree Grass is family owned, operated, and the only synthetic turf company on the Western Slope. Leonard Walterscheid and his son Daniel Walterscheid decided to join forces to create a small business while Daniel attended college at Colorado Mesa University. Leonard wanted to team up with his son to teach him how to manage and grow a business so when Daniel graduated in spring of 2014 he could have an established business to take over. Being a Former Chicago Bear and a family continually involved in football, you could ask who has more experience on turf? After many months of research Daniel and Leonard became dealers as well as certified installers with ProGreen because of their dedication to quality products, superior service/support, and attention to detail.

Materials used for indoor basketball courts, such as hardwoods, aren’t really an option outdoors.

Your city or county will have guidelines about the minimum and maximum width and length of private roads. The average private road is 12 feet wide, and length, of course, depends on your property. Requirements also depend on the amount of traffic and types of vehicles your road experiences. Check with local ordinances before planning a road on your property.

An asphalt driveway should be at least 3 inches thick over a compacted gravel base. Areas with poor drainage should have a thicker stone base. To install a new asphalt driveway over an existing driveway, the new asphalt should be at least 2 inches thick and the existing driveway should be in relatively good condition.

The recommended minimum amount for a paver base is 4 inches. From there, it depends on the kind of traffic the pavers will see and the current soil conditions. Two inches of paver base won’t create the amount of stability and support that pavers need to remain securely in place over time.
