"We hired LJI Electric to wire our entire new construction home. They did the whole house rough-in and the final trim. They were proficient, professional and had excellent communication skills. Johnny (the owner) did everything we asked of him, plus more. He and his crew are knowledgeable, fast, and practice perfectionism to the "t". His rough-in passed state inspection the first time. We highly recommend Johnny and his crew for anything minor to major work. You won't go wrong hiring LJI Electric, not only for their excellent work, but extremely reasonable pricing. Very satisfied customers, Arnold and Carla Marquez"

"Very professional. They installed several network lines thoroughly my house with minimal to no holes in my drywall. I would recommend them to anyone seeking low voltage electrical work and I intend to have them back out for future projects."

"The problem turned out to be a burned out small electric door switch. I believe the price was way too expensive for the service performed and the price of the door switch. What more can I say? It got done."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

They’ll use more electricity than the average upright vacuum, but not remarkably more. Most power units plug into a standard 120-volt outlet and don’t have significant power demands. You shouldn’t notice an increase in electricity bills. If you have any specific questions about energy costs, ask your installer as you examine purchase decisions. Larger power units will need more electricity for their suction levels.

A faulty light switch can trip a breaker due to circuit overload or a short circuit. A faulty light switch may not always trip a breaker, so don’t use that as your only sign that something’s wrong. Always investigate the cause of a switch that isn’t working properly, feels hot to the touch, or is making unusual noises.

Electric bills tend to be lower in spring and fall because people use less electricity during these seasons. Milder temperatures allow for less use of heating and cooling, unlike during winter and summer, which usually bring more extreme temperatures.

Yes, a faulty or broken light switch can be a serious fire hazard. Malfunctioning switches, often due to loose connections, exposed wiring, or overheating, can cause sparking or arcing. If you hear a crackling, popping, or hissing sound when you use the switch, it indicates live electricity arcing inside, which is a significant hazard that can ignite nearby flammable materials. If you suspect your light switch is faulty, turn off the power to that circuit at the breaker and contact a qualified electrician to remedy the issue.

No, because amps and volts measure very different things. However, you can use basic equations to find amps or volts by using data about one of the measurements to calculate the other.
