These folks are great! Anna helped schedule us quickly and was very responsive. Matt, the handyman who came, was terrific! He repaired everything as needed and was so pleasant and helpful with his advice regarding radon reduction and door insulation. I feel this is a company that we can count on in the future.

They are subcontractors to the company Eco Handyman owner.
The owner seems to understand the level of the job and assigns the job accordingly to good people.
They talked to me when they came to do the job and did as requested.
Eco handyman let me know if I bought the materials myself, which ones were good and which ones needed to be measured for the task so I wouldn't waste my money.

Work was performed very well. Both the office staff and the installers were efficient, courteous, and competent. Occupants of our rental property immediately noticed improvements: less draftiness, quieter in the house, heat coming on less frequently.

I think they did a good job.  Nate does a nice job working with the rebate guidelines so that you fit within the parameters and get the most out of the rebate programs.  Other bids I got included things that didn't get as much bang for the buck energy-wise and weren't covered by the rebate program, so Nate's was more helpful.  You can see his professionalism and his knowledge in the bid (that's verbatim what I typed above for the detailed description of the work done).
I guess I'm not an expert in what they did and am not really going to go up in the attic and inspect (but what I saw looked like a lot of insulation, and the infrared camera later showed that the area of the attic over my office was now not showing up as leaking heat and cold like before), and I haven't pulled open my can lights to see the caulk, etc.  So I guess I'm somewhat assuming they did a good job on the things I can't see.  The duct sealing was kind of messy in the basement, and I wish they had warned me about that.  The dark mastic is painted onto my drywall and such.  It was ugly down there anyway because I don't have a ceiling in the basement, but it's a little extra ugly now.
Elaine in the office is very helpful.  She worked at the communication aspect when I had questions, and she managed to get me in on the last day to qualify for the rebates even though they were deluged with people trying to hire them for the same reason.  I really appreciated that!
We haven't really had winter weather yet, so I don't know how much my energy bills will be affected.  I hope it will be substantial.

The presentation by owner before the work was done was very professional.  Very convincing. However, the work was messy and  terribly incomplete.  Before the work was done, the worker performed a blower test and CAZ test.  We could see wherre the cold air was incorrectly coming and going out. We were excited to lower our energy consumption.  However many things went wrong for us and we got very little cooperation or satisfaction at the end of the job. After the work was complete, the owner did another blower test, but didn't let us know when he was doing it and wouldn't do another so we could see the improvement. Very wrong, and very snotty to us.  He suggested that if we had been present at the test we could have seen the result!  Of course we were not informed about the test time. He argued about messy caulking and suggested I call a painter to cover the damage.  He also was very smug and flippant when we pointed out thing they had completely missed, such as the wind blowing in under our front door.  He grudgingly said he would fix that althought that wasn't part of the bid!!!  My husband spent a great deal of time caulking  and fixing places they missed. I was so disappointed-our energy efficiency changed by 20%, they say, (although we have no proof of that) and it is still as cold in the winter as it was before $4000 of work.I was also most disappointed about the general snottiness of the owner.  I am in a service business, and I know I should shut my real estate door if I had such an attitude.  We cannot recommend this company.

Eco Handyman did multiple tasks that they completed efficiency.  Out of all the contractors we bid, they had the best solution for replacing our old attic fan (think airplane propeller) with a more efficient, non-leaking (no heat back into the house from the attic) dual fan.  Their bid was competitive for the air sealing and attic insulation.  When an issue arose that required an additional drywall opening they took care of it without issue and fixed it up as good as new.  Passed City electrical inspection without issue.  We had used an energy audit provided by Excel/Lightly Treading to guide the improvements we made.  And with these improvements we saw a decrease in the summer of 10 degrees in the upper level of the house helping to maximize our comfort level.  We were able to go with minimal use of air conditioning the summer of 2011 as a result.

We had used eco handyman for a bid for a larger project and found them to be very responsive and knowledgeable during that bidding process.   So in the process of selling our house we found some issues that needed to be resolved and they were able to easily schedule.  Some of the people they use are subcontractors, but so far we have found all of them to be exceptional.  Our references calls confirmed what we have understood as well.  For smaller projects they may cost a little bit more than their competitors but the work is done well and professionally and often in a reasonable timeframe.

Very happy overall and would use them again.  Don't hestitate to ask them for references and to follow up on those references.

It went very good. They were thorough, reasonably priced and neat. The workers came when they said they would and did the work they said they would do. They were very professional and I will use them again in the future.

The handyman was very friendly and knowledgable. He did a wide variety of jobs and all were done well. The scheduling was not as smooth as it could have been, so if we had been on a tight deadline that would have been inconvenient. Otherwise we were very pleased with this company and would recommend their services highly!

We were very pleased. They were good, careful and hard working workers. Even the owner was here on the job. Out of everyone I got bids from, his was the best. He really educated us a lot about the job. He lived up to our expectations!
