We got just what we ordered and our cabinets arrived well packaged and were delivered on schedule. The representatives were readily available, and able to answer all of our questions. They seemed pleased to  help with a new kitchen layout. They were helpful and seemed happy to help even after we changed our minds on some details a couple of times. They are very professional and dependable.

I had a complete overhaul of my kitchen with everything replaced.  I contacted Kitchen & Bath Ideas and was assisted by Clarke Coons.   He helped me to pick out all my cabinets with the wood and design that I wanted.  He also worked with the countertop installers.  I could always count on him to show up at the time we agreed upon which seems to be unusual with the other workers who did different jobs for me.  Clarke came to the house several times to do measurements just to be sure everything would be just right.  The cabinets arrived when he promised and afterward he came back to the house to inspect those and the granite counter tops.  Be assured if you deal with Clarke you will be pleased.  I found him very dependable and easy to work with.

They were very helpful when the installation people messed up.  They helped us get things done.  The person that was doing the installation did not pull any permits for the work; we had to reinforce a wall that was practically destroyed by his work.  It was a low ceiling wall and the roof was starting to sink.  It was dropped about a quarter of an inch in two weeks time when they caught it and I was able to correct this.  My son and I were able to do it myself.  They were not willing to change the price and they were willing to fix it but after not being told the truth a number of times, I fired the contractor.  They got us a licensed contractor and did the work on their cost, no profit.

These guys were pretty awesome.  The drawings presented were of good quality and the estimate provided us with the information we needed to make a decision.

IT WENT GREAT!  In 2011, we toyed with the idea that we wanted to redesign our kitchen and remodel if we thought we could find an optimum design that we could afford.  We spent two years in this "off and on" process.
It is a real balancing act between use of space, cost and quality.  We were not in a hurry and one of our first experiences was some preliminary design ideas that were sketched out by a designer from KBI in 2011.  That design sat on the shelf for a while. We had other design concepts from two other architects.  Each iteration, we discovered things/constraints that we had not thought of.  We continued to refine our preferences, likes and dis-likes.
During this two year period, we changed our mind several times regarding what wall to tearout or what wall to move, etc.
Also, most of our preliminary plans were done without  considering cost.  When we cranked that into the mix, we discovered that we couldn't afford what we first wanted and some of our plans didn't make financial sense commensurate to the value of the house.
In the summer of 2013 we had a cabinet maker from Denver, come to the house to give an estimate. His company built "gold plated custom cabinets" but really couldn't provide a total solution.  At that point, I called KBI and they sent out one of their most experienced design professionals, Roger Perry.  He patiently worked with us to plan our final design down to the smallest detail.
When Roger gave us detailed drawings that we could iterate, it was clear that 3 inches of space could ultimately determine what the appliance dimensions had to be, what we bought,  and exactly where we could place it.  Roger knew, up front, what pitfalls to avoid, and he could give us precise cost estimates because it was based on a detailed plan that we did not have to change halfway through the Project. Roger helped us pick Starmark Cabinets, built in Souix Falls, SD and they were accurately built, high quality, and delivered when they were supposed to be.  Roger referred us to a general contractor that KBI had experience working with and they did a fabulous job because they knew what they were doing and they were able to price their part of the project without a cost over-run.
We contracted separately with Pinkerton Homes  and refer you to a separate review in Angie's List.  We were very very happy with KBI and specifically Roger Perry.  He has our permission to give our contact information for referral  if you would like more detail.
KBI has a fabulous showroom and experience with a plethora of suppliers so they can give you a lot of options and ideas. A pleasure to work with!

Like everything done well it took a little time from the decision to go up to the conclusion.  Very responsive to requests for information and scheduling issues (we were away for several weeks during the construction period).
Kitchen looks great and is functioning well.
I have a happy wife on my hands!

We have a typical ranch home with galley kitchen and separate dining room. We were stuck on coming up with a way to open up the space and get more storage, too. Jessica came up with a great design that got us "out of our box" so to speak.

They were real good, everything was fine with them, it's like the third kitchen we've done using their cabinets. I'm the one that installed them but I ordered it from them. They were very competitive with everybody else. Jessica is the one that we've worked with and she was really good, she came out and measured everything and we discussed different ideas and stuff and she is very professional with her ideas and what, maybe we should do this, or that, or whatever, she's helpful.

It went real well but we are still in the middle of it because we are trying to figure out whether we can do what they suggested.  As far as the plan they gave us, it was well worth it.  As we got into it with the individual that came out for the rendition, he got us together with the contractors to try to see about redoing the kitchen.  The individual that was assigned to us was great, topnotch, did a great job working with us and understanding our needs and really coming up alternative solutions, and did more than what we felt we could do.

I built a new house after my house burned in the Waldo Canyon Fire. Roger Perry designed my kitchen and bathrooms. The design process took months of decision making and perfecting details. Roger was professional, helpful, and skillful in the process leading to my beautiful kitchen and bathrooms. All of my questions were answered in a timely manner with care and consideration. Roger supported me to stay in my budget and did not lead me to items that would cause me to be uncomfortable with the final payment. I was happy with service from the beginning to the end.

The guys that ripped out our old kitchen and installed the new kitchen were very conscious of their work, attention to detail and cleaning up after them selves each day. I hope we get to use Chris and his company again for some other projects. Highly recommended.

There were problems with the way that several of the cabinets were installed. Cabinet door adjustments are still an issue.

He did a good job on the design as far as putting it all down there and helping with material selection and recommendations. They were just expensive. When I kept trying to work with them on a budget, my husband is super handy so if he did this part or that part, so it turned into where we were doing most of the work. We were still thinking about going with them and then just a couple of days before we were going to sign the contracts they wanted to come out and do final measurements. He mismeasured by 10 inches which drove the price up by a couple of thousand for cabinets and counters and things like that so we just decided at that point to stop, take a step back, we are probably going to end up doing the work ourselves and finding our own subs. I met with him and I didn't tell him that we weren't going to use them because I was still thinking about it, we just wanted to explore our options. I asked him for a final set of the plans and he said, we don't normally give you a set of the plans. I said, well I paid for them. He realized at that point that I did pay and I wasn't under any obligation to use them, so he kinda flung the plans to me across the table. It was a little awkward. I think it did come as a surprise to him but there was a little flash of unprofessionalism there that was a little uncomfortable. I got my plans and I was able to move forward. I felt their prices were high. They kept forgetting things and were going to add into the quote so I just felt that that number was just going to balloon at the end.

Great!  Jane work through the entire process with us.  Even though there was a major surprise (the counter top was broken during cutting) we were taken care of very well throughout.
KBI will encourage you to talk to multiple vendor/contractors -- and you should, but KBI offered the best mix of quality and affordability.

We worked with designer Roger Perry who guided us through the design process of choosing materials and finishes.  Roger made suggestions but didn't pressure us to make a particular decision.  The products are all excellent quality - the new cabinets are like fine furniture.  All of the tradespeople were outstanding - they were polite, friendly, responsive and talented.  The electricians even came on Christmas Eve to finish their work.  I would gladly hire any of these tradespeople again - which is not always the case when dealing with subcontractors.
A kitchen remodel is a huge project which is something we could not quite appreciate before we did it.  Roger told us what to expect, and there were no surprises.  But, it does get old not having a kitchen for about 6 weeks.  However, in the end it was absolutely worth the wait and we are very pleased with Kitchen & Bath Ideas.

1) First appointment - Jessica from Kitchen & Bath Ideas came to our house and looked at our kitchen, took careful measurements, and listened to our ideas of what we like and don't like and what we want in a kitchen.
2) Second appointment - we went to the Kitchen & Bath Ideas showroom and Jessica showed us her initial drawings of plans for our kitchen.  We looked at cabinets and counter tops and picked out the ones we liked.
3) Third appointment - we went back to the Kitchen & Bath Ideas showroom and Jessica went over the plans with us and presented us with a proposal for remodeling our kitchen with the choices of cabinets, counter tops, etc., we had made.
We were very impressed with Jessica's ideas, but have decided to postpone remodeling our kitchen for the time being.

We are very pleased with the new design that Jane created. The layout is so much better than before, esthetically and functionally. Jane patiently worked on one wall that we wanted to be of a consistent 24 inch depth. It involved doing custom sizing and It turned out great. We also worked on several versions of the island until we got it to look just right. The cherry slab door cabinets are beautiful and the pulls we bought from KBI are perfect on them. The installers did a great job with attention to every detail. Jane and the installers were a pleasure to work with.
