"Jesse reviewed the circuit breaker issue that I was having. He fully understood the problem and let me know what the options were. He advised me that it was something that I could do myself, but I chose to have him do it, as he offered a very reasonable price and I felt I'd rather have a professional do the job. He was most pleasant to work with. I will keep his info in case I have any other electrical problems in the future. I recommend Persistence Electric to anyone having electrical problems."

"All the problems and concerns I had were quickly addressed. Electrical fixes the inspector guesstimated to 300 some dollars were actually about half that much, even on a weekend. Donald was very professional and very knowledgeable and I recommend him."

"Excellent service! "Mister Sparky" far exceeded our expectations! We had had 2 other electricians work on projects at our house and were very disappointed with their limited knowledge/poor quality of work. Nathan arrived on time. Nathan knew what needed to be done, explained what he was doing and completed the work in a professional manner. Nathan is a gem - someone who knows what the heck he is doing and makes sure the job is done correctly. We will definitely hired this electrical firm again! We would definitely recommend "Mister Sparky" to anyone who is looking for superior electrical service!"

"We ran a coax cable through our older home. It took longer than expected, and was more expensive than anticipated. The quality of the work seems good, and the customer service was great. I have concerns about the internal electrical wiring within the wall after drilling, but have not noticed any problems at this time."

"The problem turned out to be a burned out small electric door switch. I believe the price was way too expensive for the service performed and the price of the door switch. What more can I say? It got done."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

To establish a reliable seasonal electrical inspection routine in Pueblo, start each spring by checking outdoor outlets, panels, and extension cords for winter damage or corrosion. In summer, inspect air conditioning wiring and test surge protectors before storm season. Fall is ideal for examining heating system connections and weatherproofing exterior fixtures. During winter, test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and ensure circuits used for space heaters are functioning safely.

Helpful?

In Pueblo, address urgent electrical issues like flickering lights, burning odors, or frequent breaker trips without delay, as these may signal fire hazards. Water-damaged outlets or exposed wiring after storms also require immediate attention. Non-emergency projects, such as installing new lighting or upgrading outlets, can be scheduled for milder weather. Always prioritize safety and consult a licensed electrician if you’re unsure about the urgency.

Helpful?

When comparing quotes in Pueblo, be wary of missing licenses, vague or non-itemized estimates, or professionals who suggest skipping permit requirements. Quotes that are significantly lower than others may signal corner-cutting or hidden costs. Poor communication, lack of local references, or unfamiliarity with Pueblo’s unique weather and soil conditions are additional warning signs. Always request detailed written estimates and verify recent local work before hiring.

Helpful?

Pueblo’s hot summers, cold winters, and frequent windstorms can stress electrical systems. Summer storms and hail may damage outdoor wiring, while winter’s freeze-thaw cycles can crack conduits and loosen connections. Dust and rapid temperature changes also affect electrical panels. Using weather-resistant materials, sealing exterior outlets, and scheduling regular inspections help protect your home’s electrical system from Pueblo’s challenging climate.

Helpful?

In Pueblo, you can safely handle minor electrical tasks like replacing light bulbs, swapping out outlet covers, or testing GFCI outlets—always turn off the breaker first. Wear rubber-soled shoes to reduce shock risk, especially on damp or dusty surfaces. Never attempt panel work, circuit additions, or repairs that require permits. If you notice unusual smells, see aluminum wiring, or experience post-storm issues, contact a professional promptly.
