"Very professional and comprehensive home inspection company. I would use them again. The report was very detailed and sent within a day of the inspection. The inspector noted numerous issues with the home and was able to call another colleague to the property to give a second opinion on the stucco. They took water samples and flow tested the water well - this was well worth the cost of testing since there were coliform present. The homeowner then fixed this issue. Also did radon testing and septic line scope testing - Axium reccomended another company for the septic line scope - again a minor issue was noted that the homeowner repaired

"Kyle and his crew came out on an emergency basis and handled our septic install professionally and promptly. They walked us through ever step and came highly recommended from everyone in the community including our bank and other professionals in the industry! Highly recommended for efficiency, honesty and quality of work. Reasonably priced which certainly helped in this emergency situation."

"I just pay $75 you never know who's going to come out. They do everything electrical. Just about everything is covered except the septic tank. I had an air conditioner replaced. It went great, all I had to do was pay for the freon. He didn't charge e more than what was needed."

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

The lifespan of your well casing depends mainly on the material it’s made from. Stainless steel and galvanized steel casings are designed to withstand the pressures and environment of deep-water wells but are susceptible to corrosion. Most steel casings last from 20 to 35 years, on average. PVC casing is highly durable and, if used correctly, can last up to 50 years.

Several warning signs can indicate current or future issues with your well pressure tank. If you notice inconsistent water pressure, water spitting from your faucets, clicking sounds, or electricity bill spikes without other obvious causes, it may be time to get your pressure tank and well system looked at by a professional.

Certain foods are easier on your septic tank than others. Septic-safe foods include yogurt, fruit, cooked veggies, and bread because these items all break down relatively easily and can pass through your system safely. Rotten tomatoes, specifically, are actually good for your septic tank because they can increase the amount of good bacteria in the system.

A septic alarm can sound different depending on your system, but often, it’s a loud, repetitive beeping noise or a steady, high-pitched noise. It may also be a loud buzzing noise. To confirm the noise is your septic alarm, check your alarm box for a red light. You can also silence your alarm with a red button or switch on the box. Look for something that says “Test” or “Mute.”

While abandoning a tank without treating it and following strict rules is illegal, there are several other ways to dispose of an old septic tank. One standard method is to pump out and crush the tank where it rests and bury it in the soil. Another is to remove it and transport it to a landfill. Finally, if abandonment is the best option, your contractor must pump out the tank and fill it with inert material, such as sand or concrete, depending on local regulations.
