Here at Denver Duct Corp., we pride ourselves on the highest levels of professionalism and efficiency. Each spring and fall you should take time to make sure that all of your vents are ready for the vigor of the coming season. We live in a world where healthy living has become a way of life. We diet and exercise to make ourselves feel better. We have also taken on environmental issues to make our world a cleaner and safer place to live. Yet the most overlooked issue is the air that we breathe. The Environmental Protection Agency claims that indoor air has been found to be more polluted then outdoor air. Now consider on average people spend 90% of their time indoors... The fact can be quite alarming. Considering that we spend so much time indoors, it makes perfect sense to clean the source of our indoor air quality problems...Our Air Ducts..

"DO NOT USE! After the service we noticed items missing and they never responded after I reached out. I guess we needed to follow them around the whole time. I wish we had cameras to prove it but its too much of a coincidence that my kids noticed 3 valuable games missing after they had been to the house. Now I'm wondering if they actually cleaned the vents@"

"I would advise anyone who is needing a mitigation company to look elsewhere. This company is uses extreme fraudulent practices. We hired H2O for an extraction on 2 apartment units and did not request any equipment rental as we have our own. We placed our own equipment in the apartment (blowers and a dehumidifier.) H2O not only brought their only equipment in the unit after we stated we did not need it, but placed 12 blower fans in 1 apartment and 3-4 dehumidifiers. Clearly excessive and not at all what is needed in Colorado that does not have humid climates. We were then charged $10,000 for the invoices for two units. Approximately $8,000 more than it should have been. When contacted the owner Carlos to try to rectify the situation, he got extremely defensive, attempted to defame our property and company and refuse to make any adjustments. H2O also ripped off all the baseboards in the units, causing us thousands more to restore the apartment. They cut holes in the walls that we never requested. They also proceeded to attempt dry wall repairs that we didn't authorize. We had to kick them out of the apartment to prevent them from completing the repairs. After we asked for a proposal for drywall repairs, it came in about 3x what our other bids did. We denied their proposal and used our other trusted vendors. This is not an ethical company. They will sell you on the fact that they offer you the same rate for a carpet clean for all unit types. However, any extractions you have they will up-charge, price gouge, and complete work that is not authorized leaving you an invoice that is astronomical for the services rendered."

Air Duct Cleaning questions, answered by experts

If you have a forced-air heating system, it’s important to have it professionally inspected at least once per year. During one of these visits, your contractor will look at all of the components of your HVAC system, including your furnace or heat pump, air conditioner, and ducts. On average, an HVAC inspection costs $300. It’s also important to perform basic maintenance between inspections, such as changing your filters and cleaning dust from around your vents.

Return air ducts shouldn't be installed in closets, bathrooms, garages, kitchens, boiler rooms, furnace rooms, and attics. Kitchens can have return ducts if they only serve that kitchen and are at least 10 feet away from cooking appliances. Similarly, return ducts can only be installed in garages if they're part of a forced-air system that only serves the garage.

It isn’t a good idea to never clean your ducts. Most appliances have filters for a reason—to clean the air—and over time, they lose their effectiveness. They may eventually become so clogged that your HVAC system will stop functioning correctly or shut down altogether. Cleaning your air ducts is also a requirement if you want clean air in your house. Thorough cleaning checks are recommended to make sure the air is safe from any toxic or harmful contaminants.

If you prefer not to use a commercial cleaning product on your pink mold issue, or on other types of mold you are seeing in your bathroom, there are some natural mold killer products that you can use. You can try substances that you may already have in your home, like vinegar, tea tree oil, hydrogen peroxide, lemon juice, and baking soda.

Whether an HVAC damper should be open or closed depends on the season, the zone it controls, and the temperature in that zone. In the summer, open upstairs dampers and close lower-level dampers to get the most efficient cooling possible. In the winter, do the opposite. Cool air will naturally flow down to lower levels, while warm air will rise. This keeps your system from working harder and helps prevent common AC problems.
