I had three light fixtures to install in place of three older lights. These fixtures were in the Dining Room, and two bath rooms. While seemingly an easy effort, as always, the new installation was complicated in two of the three installs. With Marty's expertise, all issues were quickly resolved. I will use Marty's services (Silk City Electric) again

Marty was quick with his work and he sorted out my wiring issues. He also accommodated to my schedule. My only mark down was because he was an hour late. My appointment was the day after the spring time change. I am not sure if that was the reason for being late. He never told me why he was late.

Marty replaced my old Federal Pacific electrical panel with a new 200Amp panel and ran a 30Amp, 220V circuit to my garage with a sub panel. He did the work at less than half the price of other competitors. Granted the competitors were the big companies that quote from a book (Brother's Electric and Always Best Choice). As his business matures I hope he raises his prices a little as he deserves a bit more. Overall he did a great job - the inspector and another electrician complimented his work. He also quickly addressed some really minor issues the inspector brought up. I'll hire him again for any electrical work in the future and I'd recommend him in a heartbeat.

The project was top notch. Marty installed a flood light and switch and would definitely use again and refer to others. Price was very reasonable. They were easy to reach, responded quickly, and communication was great.

First, Silk City Electric wasn't the first electrician I hired but a previous electricians helper dropped the ball on showing up on time and he technically had three days (yes, during the Memorial Day weekend) to install 3 4-plug outlets for my network server room and still did not come out on Memorial Day morning like he offered. I couldn't even get him to answer the phone when I called earlier. With all this said Marty from Silk City Electric, LLC happened called me back to see if he could still come out and give me an estimate as promised earlier in the week. So since the previous electrician did not show in the time frame he told me, Marty was my guy! Marty offered to do the work on Memorial Day morning at the price the other electrician (helper) gave. Marty was very professional but very friendly with a great deal of personality. I like professionalism for sure but you will win me over with a great personality and disposition, let alone good work. He performed the work in the time frame he gave me (I think early) and even doubled checked his work before leaving to make sure I was happy with the end result. I will be calling Silk City Electric, LLC for ALL my electrical needs. Fan installation and burned out outlet next! Also should mention Marty has been in the business for over 25 years and given he just started his new company in January 2015, as a small business owner myself, I was happy to give him a shot and he met my expectations.

I'm am thrilled that I finally found a great electrician that a) knows his stuff b) checks in to confirm that he's doing what we discussed before finalizing the project c) shows up on time or calls if he's delayed d) is courteous and easy to work with (and not a prima dona like most of them are!) e) is reasonably priced f) stands by his work and g) just a darn nice guy! I've had Marty back several times now for other jobs. I would trust the smallest jobs and the largest new constructions or remodels to him!

Great guy to work with. On-time, expedient and precise. Installed electrical in a structured wiring panel for my home and did a great job.

Marty called right away to discuss the work requested and then asked if he could do the work that day (Saturday) instead of waiting until Monday for the appointment time I had requested. He arrived about an hour later, diagnoised and fixed the multi switch issue and had everything fixed in about 30 minutes. I recommend him for any electrical work. Fast, reliable and professional.
