"R&T was able to give me an estimate up front for services. The other recommended pro could only advise a standard trip charge that would be charged for an estimation for services only upon the visit. The R&T team was professional, timely and carried extra parts on hand for the ones I missed. The part charges were very reasonable. One of my fans need additional items to connect the light fixture. After the installation was done they offered to swing by to finish the light house after the original appointment . I'd absolutely hire them again and refer them to friends!"

"Carlos was great to work with on our fan repair and installation of a whole house surge protection device. Very professional, punctual and went out of his way to help make scheduling work out perfectly. Definitely will hire Carlos again when I need electrical work done."

"My appointment time was between 8am and 10 am. The installer (Enrique) arrived at 8:03 am . I had already decided where I wanted the fan to be installed. Enrique looked over the job and said that the location was fine. We talked for about 10 minutes about how the fan would be most effective. Enrique gave me his advice (he has been doing these installations for years). I declined his suggestion for additional vents, since I had a "full ridge vent" installed with my new roof last year. There was no pressure from Enrique, and he assured me that I can have additional vents installed later if need be. When the installation was complete, Enrique demonstrated how the fan works, the distance that the house windows should be opened and other helpful information. It is unbelievable how much air is moved thru the house with this appliance. It is going to be great! Enrique told me that the fan would be noisier in the hallway where I wanted the fan installed...the sound echos in that type of space. Indeed while standing in the hallway, it seems noisy, but in the very next room, the volume was not enough to interfere with watching TV. There is very little noise when the fan is switched to low. Enrique was prompt, professional, courteous, pleasant and well groomed. He respected that I was the customer. He covered the area he was working in and cleaned up when done. He worked quietly...as much as one can when using tools. He is efficient at his job. The whole job was done from knock on the door to driving down the driveway in about 3.5 hours. It is April, and I am sure when Denver gets its streak of 90 degree weather this fan will give the results I want. By the way....Enrique arrived in a fairly new, clean, well organized, well stocked van. This service was top-notch!!! In addition, Seymour, apparently the owner of this shop, interacted with me per email several times last summer, as I was trying to coordinate the fan installation with the new roof project. He spent considerable time giving me information. When I emailed 2 weeks ago I got exactly the appointment time I wanted. Great service all around."

"We had a problem with our main breaker so I contacted two companies found on Homeadvisor. The first to call was Yoder Electrical's Alan Lowther. After describing the problem he gave me an informal guesstimate and (we were on our way to Denver) sent me an email to confirm. I called the next morning and he was in our home within a few hours. The fix was simple ( for him anyway! ) and the bill was less than $200. Very fair and reasonable for the piece of mind it gave us. I will be happy to recommended Alan and Yoder Electrical."

"Tim and Goldrie are a pleasure to work with. This job meant adding a GFI circuit to an upstairs bathroom, plus two new wall outlets, two new vanity light outlets, and two new ceiling lights. Wiring an existing home is not easy and Tim found creative solutions with a minimum of damage to the walls. The cost was very fair. I highly recommend this company."

"Lion did a great job. Although the cost was quite a bit more than we anticipated, Gabe was a pleasure to work with. He was professional, courteous, and efficient. Fabian and his crew did a great job installing the fan. They were quick and polite."

"Difficult to reach. Difficult to schedule. This was an Angie's List Big Deal. We had prepaid so didn't have any choice but to wait and try to work with them. The fan did ultimately get installed."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

The number of blades for your fan poses both advantages and disadvantages. Typically, the more blades on a fan, the better the air distribution and cooling effect, but this also means that your fan will have more wear on its motor. For small rooms, three-blade fans should work fine. For larger areas like living rooms, four or five-blade fans might be the better option.

Since the cost of installing a ceiling fan is $250 for most homeowners, it might be beneficial to replace your existing fan if you are experiencing a significant repair issue, like a broken motor. However, for less expensive repairs, like a fan blade replacement, you’ll likely spend less on the repair than a complete fan replacement. Of course, if you’re looking for an upgrade or a new style fan, replacing it altogether is always an option.

Keeping dust off fans can keep them working optimally and help keep dust mites or bacteria from building up. Dust fans weekly with a duster, microfiber cloth, old pillowcase, or vacuum attachment. You can also try spraying a clean fan with a store-bought dust-repellent product or making a DIY dust-repellent with water and a small amount of liquid fabric softener mixed in.

Coffered ceilings often come with additional embellishments and accessories, including tin panels, medallions, trim, molding, recessed lights, and finials. Whether you’re looking for a simple grid pattern or want an elaborate, decorative ceiling with all the bells and whistles, there are plenty of options to choose from.

For a 12x12 room, a fan between 36" and 50" will work, as it falls in the range for spaces up to 144 square feet. These size fans provide adequate air circulation and ensure a comfortable environment without being overpowering. Even better, they come in a broad range of styles, offering aesthetics and functionality, making them suitable choices for maintaining an ideal room temperature and enhancing overall comfort.
