"Mac Electric has since I posted a negative review called me with very constructive dialogue. Mac has sent me a check for the outside services that were required to fix my swim spa. Much of the dialogue centered around the poor communication that involved the prime contractor Champion Windows. The mistakes made on the install were compounded by poor communication with Champion. Many of the issues could have been avoided with better project management by Champion. Mac Electric has since stood by their work and made amends. They value their work and relationship with the community. I appreciate them reaching out to me to help correct the situation."

"The main reason for calling them was two jobs involving some height and difficult access -- reattaching a roof fascia that was coming off and creating a new interior window frame for a new skylight (turned out that the roofers who installed skylights did not do anything interior!). Both of these went quickly and well. As did a small job installing a valve in a shower line. However there were problems with the next item on the list (we felt we were committed to paying for an entire afternoon.) This was installing a new light fixture -- something we generally do ourselves if the location is accessible. Turned out the guy who came is afraid of electricity because he recently experienced a bad shock. Initially he wanted to turn off all the electricity in the house. Although we talked him out of that and worked with him to find the circuit breaker that turned off the appropriate circuit, it was in a dark hallway and we did not closely supervise the work. And he was in a hurry because they had told him he had to go on to pick up doors for another job the next day. Although he had been very careful to check every step of the way on every other job, he did not on this last one. And afterwards we found that this unusual fixture (two light track arms extending from a base) had been installed improperly so the arms could not be unfolded and extended. We had to take it down and reinstall it ourselves. We requested a small reduction in the charge, half of the time attributable to this job because we felt responsibility for the problem was shared, and that request was granted."

Our specialty is Electrical Service and Remodel Electrical. We don't subcontract, you'll see us and our own hand picked employees on your site. Tim, Dad and owner, always handles the estimates and bids, so you'll always have plenty of opportunities to work out details with the boss. We are a service company and final payment is due upon completion. For projects larger than one day, progress payments will be due as per bid/estimate.
"10/10 - Highly Recommend for any Electrical needs. We needed to run a new 240v line into our basement for a new appliance. We had never had an electrician come out before, but I am glad we called them. A small family-owned company that provided excellent service at a reasonable price. Tim answered the phone right away and had us scheduled for an estimate within the next few days. The morning of the estimate, they came buy to look at the project at hand, (and a few extra lighting issues that we’ve been putting off fixing.) They quoted us an extremely reasonable price, and let us know that they had last minute availability open up that same afternoon. Tim and Forrest (Father/Son Team!) came in and finished the project way faster than anticipated, and ended up charging us less than estimated. It’s so refreshing having friendly, honest people come in and do work on our home. We will definitely be having them back out again for any future electrical needs!"

I was amazed that 2 of the companies could not demonstrate a clear understanding of what we wanted to do. Sundeck designs understands their business - really well. From the design process and working out details of the bid, through to the final product, these guys are absolute professionals. The owners are extremely knowledgeable and the crew was so easy to work with. They are friendly and approachable, clean up the site every day, and got the deck done quickly. This deck is stunningly beautiful with all quality components and workmanship including 2 colors (one darker around the perimeter and fascia). And, oh my goodness the two colors on the stairs are really striking. The railing is beautiful and the post caps have lights casting a small ray onto the deck edges at night. We couldn't be more pleased with the new deck or the experience along the way. We highly recommend Sundeck Designs!"
