"Our experience with elements painting was fantastic. William is friendly, professional and a great communicator. He always replies quickly. The price was good. And he and team did a phenomenal job painting our kitchen cabinets white and all of the walls in our kitchen and living room. We will use elements painting for many projects going forward."

"The team of Painting Plus were detail oriented, diligent and hard working. The overall results were excellent. The pressure washing of our wood shingled house was complete - six plus hours. The prep work of caulking, sanding and painting were exact. Very pleased with the professionalism of Jorge, Fabiola, Roberto and Cristian. Jorge even repaired a deeply rotted window sill! The teams work ethic and attitude were amazing - very easy to work with. The clean up was also amazing. No paint spills or splotches anywhere - the first for us. Also, Derrick the owner was true to his time commitment and professionalism. I would give them a 10 out 10."

"Alain explained everything that was needed to make the necessary repairs before painting the exterior of our house. He replaced the bad siding and trim boards. I watched him paint our neighbors house and that convinced me to have him paint our house. He is very conscientious and pays close attention to details also reasonably priced. I would recommend The House Painters for your job too."

Small jobs welcome

"Review: â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ I highly recommend Absolute Paint and Stain for all your painting needs. I recently had the pleasure of working with them on painting my house, and I cannot say enough good things about the experience. Absolute Paint and Stain is a company that truly values professionalism and customer satisfaction. They were punctual and great communicators through the entire process. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellence is truly commendable. They worked tirelessly until the job was absolutely perfect, and the results speak for themselves. One thing that really stood out to me was their dedication to helping me choose the perfect paint for my home. They showed me various samples and offered expert advice to ensure that I got the color I wanted. Their choice to use paint from a paint store, rather than generic brands from Home Depot, made all the difference. The end result was a beautifully painted home that exceeded my expectations. I deeply regret not choosing Absolute Paint and Stain from the beginning. I made the mistake of hiring another painter who was unreliable, sloppy, and ultimately ruined the paint job in my home. I wish I had gone with Absolute Paint from the start, as there is truly no better painting company in northern Colorado. If you are looking for painters who are professional, reliable, and will deliver exceptional results, look no further than Absolute Paint and Stain. Trust me when I say that you will not regret choosing them for your painting needs. Happy Customer-N."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

You can apply waterproofing over paint, but you won't get as much protection as you would if you painted the surface with a waterproof paint from the get-go. Not all waterproofing methods are compatible with painted surfaces, and they may not adhere well. This is especially true if the paint is glossy, old, or flaking. Waterproofing sealers are primarily meant to be applied to porous surfaces, like concrete, wood, or brick.

If you recently splashed paint on the wrong area of a wooden object, remove it with a solvent or caustic paint stripper. Some paint that has yet to dry may be removable by hand with coarse sandpaper or a plastic scraper. Another trick for removing dried-on paint is rubbing a dab of nail polish remover on the paint to remove it, but avoid touching the bare wood surface.

If the lead paint is in a place that is not easily disturbed and is not flaking or deteriorating, you do not necessarily need to remove it. Lead is toxic when dust particles or flakes from peeling lead paint are ingested. If people are not in the area with the lead paint, it may be safe to leave it in place. You still may want to consider encapsulation with a paint formulated for covering lead-based paint, just for an added layer of protection.

Soot can be harder to remove compared to other types of stains given its acidic nature. It can also cause underlying paint to peel off during the cleaning process. If your soot issue is a result of smoke damage, it’s recommended you call a pro to help remove it versus doing it yourself.

Penetrating sealer seeps into concrete pores to protect it from moisture and staining, cracking, and mold caused by water. This means you cannot remove penetrating sealers like topical sealers. The good news is that penetrating sealant doesn’t have to be removed before resealing, as most topical sealers must. Instead, you’ll want to buy a compatible penetrating sealant (often the same kind already in the concrete) and apply it. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
