"I called to get a third estimate on replacing my residential boiler. I was looking at replacing it because other contractors had advised that the cost of repairs was too high; repairing a 20 ye old boiler didn’t make economic sense. Gilles sent Justin over the next day, so very quick service. Justin gave me a ballpark price to replace it, which was more in line with what I thought was fair. He also gave me a very fair price to repair it — about a third of what the other contractors quoted. A good chunk money, but a much better option right now. Comparing what the three contractors told me, I’m confident that Justin had it all coveted. He then allowed me to video him, explaining what he did and what I should expect and look out for. He also sold me on their annual maintenance plan, which is a bargain because it includes evaporative cooler startup and shut down."

"Keith was excellent from his first visit to explain what needed to be done on the kitchen drain. Afterwards, I requested a new water heater to be installed. Both were done this morning in a timely manner. Keith is very competent, takes the time to explain everything, and did an excellent job. I also was extremely thankful to Keith this morning as he identified a gas leak that I otherwise would not have known about. Because of Keith I was able to call the gas company and they came out within the hour to address the problem. I highly recommend Keith to anyone needing services. "Highest recommendation for the Aether Mechanical team for our recent boiler replacement--every detail of the experience was managed professionally and expeditiously, and the entire project was completed in one day. Take a bow Nicholas, Ivan, John, and team--virtuoso performance and a first-rate result! Two days after Christmas we woke up to a cold house and a boiler that would not fire up. Aether Mechanical responded at once by phone and Nicholas arrived onsite from Boulder to our house in SE Denver within two hours. Initial assessment indicated a burnt-out igniter. Nicholas replaced that and discovered during fire-up testing that carbon monoxide levels were *way* above acceptable limits. After repeated tests, the unavoidable conclusion was a cracked firebox, necessitating replacement. We reviewed estimates at three price points, selected one, and Nicholas mobilized his team. During a holiday week, working around challenges with HVAC supply house business hours, the team completed the installation entirely the following day. In spite of an expensive but necessary replacement, this has been singularly the best contractor experience I have had in 25 years living in a mid-century modern house that is starting to require more frequent repairs."

"So far as I can tell, the quality of the products and the quality of their installation was fine. The furnace includes PVC pipe venting both to bring combusting air into the furnace from the outdoors and taking exhaust gases outdoors through another PVC pipe through a concentric vent in the outside wall. This process is designed to prevent any exhaust gases in the basement or any bad negative air pressure in the basement. The furnace is an energy star with 95 percent efficiency. The only negative aspect of all this was Controlling Systems' behavior relating to scheduling as described in the section above."

"The entire company was fantastic! They were very polite in all calls and interactions, educated me on my options, assisted me with financing options, and replaced my equipment quickly. Their staff even relocated a line that was in the way of finishing our basement and identified an issue with our duct work that was causing air not to get to one of our rooms effectively and repaired it on the spot. Any questions during the install were resolved well, and the installers were phenomenal. We even had them install a garage fan for us and that was done the same day as the AC replacement.
