"had such a great experience with HighPoint HVAC! The entire process was seamless and incredibly easy from start to finish. I was able to schedule an appointment right away, and the team arrived exactly on time. They were professional, friendly, and took the time to explain everything clearly. After finishing the job, they left the space spotless; you’d never know any work had been done. Their quality of service and attention to detail really stood out, and the pricing was very fair. I’d highly recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality HVAC service"

"Service Magic referred many contractors which was great. I selected All Trades Mechanical for a variety of reasons. Marty called and was genuinly concerned with my issue and we set up an appointment. He even called back to give me suggestions so my water would not freeze. I truly appreciated that. He gave me an estimate and a detailed description on what his crew would be doing. When Dan and his crew came out they were very professional and completed every thing that I was told they would do. They went over and beyond to make sure everything was done correctly and that I was happy with the work done. I would highly recommend this company."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

No, not all HVAC systems have a fresh air intake, but there are many advantages to having one. For example, a fresh air intake can boost the air quality inside your home and help your furnace run more effectively. Plus, it can make your house more energy efficient, possibly saving you money on your utility costs.

Yes, having mismatched evaporator and condenser coils in your AC system can lead to serious issues. For instance, it can result in higher monthly energy costs as the system runs longer to compensate for the mismatch. This mismatch can also put extra stress on the system, compromising its efficiency and longevity.

Along with that, mismatched coils can lead to higher temperatures and humidity levels in the home. What’s more, using coils of different sizes may violate the manufacturer's warranty, as they are designed to work synergistically, and any mismatch could lead to repairs and system failure.

If there’s a freon leak in your home’s AC unit, it will cause the system to work overtime to cool the house. That issue will result in higher energy bills and it will take much longer for cool air to disperse throughout the home. If your system has a freon leak during the summer, it can make hot days miserable. That’s why it’s important to hire an HVAC professional to resolve a freon leak as quickly as possible.

An HVAC unit, like a furnace, air conditioner, or heat pump, produces warm or hot air. The air ducts serve as the passages to help heat or cool air from the HVAC unit flow through the home. Air ducts are just one part of the overall HVAC system.

After a while, dust, dirt, and other debris accumulates on an AC unit's coils and filters, making it less efficient and spreading allergens and other air pollutants throughout your home. Cleaning your AC unit will keep it running efficiently, minimizing future breakdowns and improving your indoor air quality.
