"First time getting a chimney service and my experience with A1 Chimney was great, especially technician Aaron. I asked him tons of questions about gas chimneys and he answered them all. He was definitely knowledgeable and provided an awesome customer service. The deal was only for an hour but he stayed to fix the pipe leak and added a vent clamp at no cost...A++!"

"Gilmore Heating, Air and Solar was actually the second contractor I contacted to find and fix a gas leak in the pipe that ran from my gas meter to my swimming pool heater. The first contractor was unsuccessful in finding the leak. Within an hour after contacting Gilmore, they were able to dispatch two professionals (Alex and Andrew) to pressure test my pipe and locate the leak. Alex and Andrew successfully pinpointed the leak within minutes after starting the pressure test. I was given a reasonable estimate for repair and a few days later Alex and Andrew returned, repaired the pipe, and reconnected my heater to the main gas line. Very impressive service all the way around. I highly recommend Gilmore, next time I will call them first."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

No. Placing a built-in grill against the house is discouraged due to safety concerns. Building codes and regulations often require a minimum distance (typically 10 feet or more) between a gas grill and any combustible structure, including a house. Placing a grill too close poses a fire hazard and risks damage to the siding or structure, potentially leading to carbon monoxide buildup. It's essential to consult local building codes, follow manufacturer guidelines, and prioritize safety by positioning the grill at a safe distance, ideally in a well-ventilated outdoor kitchen or designated grill area.

Propane sales companies typically offer propane delivery, tank installation and maintenance, grilling refills, and emergency support for supply interruptions.

Yes, you can lay a gas grill flat during transportation. Laying it flat can help prevent it from moving around the truck during the journey. It’s still advisable to secure the grill with bungee cords, just in case.

Local codes often mandate specific fittings, permits, and vent considerations for permitted function and safety, which are enforced by professionals.

Examples include gas stoves, ovens, and water heaters. Confirm with your provider for specific items.
