"David and his team were OUTSTANDING. We had 65 foot stucco wall that needed to be cleaned, patched and completely restucco'd. David worked our job in between others, brought two professionals with him and finished our job in 6 hours. David was extremely professional, great customer service, and amazing attention to detail. The quality of his work was OUTSTANDING and our wall looks brand new. I would recommend David Negrete Jr. Plastering for any stucco job."

"The contractor came by right away for free consultation. After taking a look at the job, he provided an honest consultation and alternatives outside of construction that might save some money. Straight forward, on time, friendly, professional, and honest I can’t ask for much more."

"Talked to Larry about removing asbestos from wall heater unit.    He said I had to get someone out there to test it first and once it was tested positive for asbestos, his company would be able to remove it.    Since it tested positive, he sent his guys to do the job.   They were on time, covered furniture and cleaned up afterwards.    Since this is the first time I had this kind of problem, I didn't know how much this type of job but found that it was pricey.    The testing cost me $300 and the asbestos removal was $550 totalling $850 which I felt was pricey.   However, the job was properly done, everyone is safe and I am happy with the work.

"We found TME Construction through Angles' List. Tony was a great guy to speak with and he answered all my question during the first phone call. We set a date and time for his crew to come and they were on time. The guys who set up our TV's knew exactly what to do and made sure that everything was perfect before they left. Tony's son and helper were concerned with our needs and made sure we were satisfied before they left. They even took all the boxes and cleaned up after themselves. Tony call the next day to make sure everything was completed correctly and that we were satisfied with the work. We told Tony that we would hire him again for other work that needs to be completed on our house. Tony was very easy to work with. We would diffidently will hire TME Construction again and will recommend them to other people."

"Jaime extended a brick veneer that ran across the front of our house to the front of the garage. He did an amazing job, he made the extension look like as if it was always been there. We were so happy with it, that we had him paint the front door to clean up the look of the house. Highly recommend and will continue to do work with him."

"The work went seamlessly and we were very very pleased with the results (I am happy to share photos if anyone needs)- We are very proud of our kitchen remodel and it looks beautiful, has transformed the flow of the home, and I am so grateful to Victor. You will not be disappointed, he is a joy, pleasant to work with and most importantly, he is honest about the job he will do (and what he wont do) and absolutely reliable! I am looking forward to working with him in the future."

"My house was in desperate need of TLC. It needed a new paint job, repair of wood due to termites, and repair water cracks in the stucco. From repair, to primer, to paint, my house did a complete u-turn. I also up-grated and added new rock siding. They also cleaned up on a daily basis. My house now looks like a modern country cottage. I am very pleased of how everything turned out. Definitely recommend to all my friends and family."

"During the heavy rains of winter 2018/9, we realized that our back French doors/Deck had a number of leaks, as well as the adjacent window. And the problem got worse when the back doors would open by themselves from wind--even when they were locked! We used Request a Quote to contact a few contractors, RIB were quick to respond and very easy to work with. They came out for some measurements and estimates, helped us find a door and window manufacturer to our liking, and their crew quickly and with high quality replaced our junky back doors with brand new out-swinging doors and a new window. Additionally, because of the leaking, we had some water damage below the window. Their crew took off the stucco, addressed the dry rot, and re-stuccoed so well that you can't even tell there was work done. RIB were thorough throughout the entire process, including after the work was done--making sure we were happy with the results. We have some upcoming work we'll need to do, and we won't hesitate to go with Right Image Team"

Stucco questions, answered by experts

The Mediterranean style is unique in that it’s designed for homes in hotter climates and to maintain a connection with nature. The building materials include stucco siding, clay roofs, and interior tiling with tall ceilings and open floor plans. These all come together to keep the interior cool. The building materials are all natural and tend to have muted earth tones, and the architecture typically allows for easy, open access to the outdoors through large windows and arched doorways. The decor and architecture can range from simple and functional to opulent, depending on the type of Mediterranean home it is.

The curing time for stucco typically takes several weeks to fully complete. During the curing process, the stucco undergoes a chemical reaction and gradually hardens. It's important to note that curing is different from drying. While the surface of the stucco may dry relatively quickly within a few hours or days, the curing process continues beneath the surface, strengthening and solidifying the stucco.

It's best to avoid excessive moisture exposure during the curing period, as it can impede the curing process. The exact curing time can vary based on factors such as temperature, humidity, and the specific stucco mixture used.

The cost of a repair depends on several factors, including the severity, complexity, and type of damage. Other key elements are the cost of any necessary replacement parts, hardware, materials, or required software updates. Labor rates and whether emergency service is needed will also influence the final price.

A standard drill will work just fine if you’re drilling small holes, and only a few of them. But anything with a diameter larger than 3/8 inch is best done with a hammer drill, since it is stronger, faster, and also makes your drill bits last longer. While you don’t absolutely need a hammer drill for stucco, it is a worthy investment if you think you might drill more holes down the road.

Solid, unpainted stucco shouldn’t suffer damage from dots of glue used for this task. If the stucco is dirty, you may notice slight marks when you heat and peel the glue away, but these aren’t permanent.

However, not all stucco walls are solid stucco. Some are “faux” stucco with a foam backing. This kind of stucco veneer is more susceptible to damage, including damage from hot glue. We don’t suggest attaching anything to these kinds of stucco walls, so make sure you check the stucco type before starting this project.
