"I’m always happy to give good reviews and say “this is the guy you want.” Demolition was done in an organized way and cleaned up before leaving for the day and most importantly, the finished job is done right and looks great — they are skilled. Joe has decades of experience and has trained his guys very well — they are focused and hard working so they are pretty impressive. Two examples: When the guys dig, they don’t toss the dirt like wild monkeys, they place it as calmly as possible to prevent excessive dust from flying around. That’s the way it should always be done. When they unloaded a pile of sand in my driveway, they didn’t pour it on the cement as most do, they laid down a plastic sheet first and then wrapped that around the pile overnight so the sand couldn’t blow all over the place. And when a little bit of sand falls from the shovel onto the cement, they sweep it up. They are not lazy! And an example of how good Joe is: One of the things he did for me was to put in a drain pipe with a pump. After he installed the pump, he knocked on my door to ask me if I wanted the paperwork that came with the pump or to just leave it in the garage. Workers will usually either just leave any paperwork outside or even just throw it away. Joe took the time to ask me what I preferred before he left for the day. Being respectful and helpful is being smart. It’s so wonderful when you find quality people. They work from 7:30 to 3:30 and play music sometimes but are not talkative to one another. If you want a great painting company, hire Larry Bisordi or Esteban Nunez Casillas. If you want a great masonry company, hire Joe Messineo."

"The Foundation Works was one of the contractors that bid for this work. Their initial inspection of the crawl space and the foundation was much more thorough than the other contractor. They also identified an area of the foundation that needed repair and included that work in their original estimate. Due to our travel we had to delay the work for several months after the original inspection and bid. We explained that to them and they had no problem with our scheduling issue. When we finally scheduled the work to be done they were very responsive and scheduled the work to our needs. Once the work began their team worked hard and diligently for both the bolting of the house as well as the repair work. The team finished in 3 days and kept us informed all along the way as to how things we going. Once finished they scheduled the Building Inspector who responded within a week. The Foundation Works foreman was there when the inspector arrived and went over the completed work. Between the finish of the work and the inspection I personally crawled the perimeter of the house and inspected the work and repair to reassure myself and the home owner that everything was completed. It was a dusty slow trip but I was not surprised to find everything in good order and all work satisfactorily completed. I was more than pleased with the quality of the Foundation Works job and their collaboration with us was terrific. I have already recommended them to a friend and wouldn't hesitate to give them as high a rating as I can. This is a well-run business!"

"Paramount Pavers and Construction installed new flagstone granite at the entry of my house. The work entailed demolition of the existing and installation of new granite pavers on walkway and porch. The work was performed in a timely manner and the agreed-upon price. During construction, they kept the site clean and free of excess debris. I recommend this company for your flagstone granite needs. In addition, they installed new concrete at my neighbors property, and the finish of the concrete work was outstanding. The workers were courteous and respectful of me as well as my neighbors."

"We had increasing issues with humps in our floors which prevented doors from opening and closing properly.  Alpha was able to lower the high spots and raise the low spots from underneath. 
There was also one place at the exterior kitchen wall where the foundation had broken and twisted due to ground movement.  They stabilized and repaired the crack, and poured a partial new foundation in that location.
While our house was bolted to the foundation, they upgraded the attachment methods to meet current codes.
They did a good job and quickly.  They prepared the engineering drawings, pulled the permit with the City, and called for the inspections in a timely fashion.
We can now open and close multiple doors fully, including the front door, which we had not been able to do previously.

His experience in design suggested minor adjustment of my idea/drawings but willing to landscape any way of my preferences. His contract was thoroughly itemized and didn’t add any additional “surprise” costs. Payments were installments as project progressed. Hardworking Crew stayed on expected timeline. Hutch came by every day to supervise progress of our landscaping. Our front and backyards were transformed from weed fields into beautiful landscaping. Removed weeds and unwanted plants, prepped surface, laid weed barrier and installed Artificial turf in backyard, laid pavers and stone walkway. Transformed front yard into rock riverbed surrounded by plants accented with boulders, and installing drip system. Planted border shrubs and a rose garden. Lined walkway and rose garden with pavers matching our flagstone. Our sewer line needed realignment which Hutch arranged to be repaired. Other company estimate quotes were either vague, didn’t itemize, or way over priced. "We are thrilled by the results! Mike and his crew took out 10 boxes of dirt from a hill in our back yard all manually! They then installed a 50 x 4ft retaining wall (fully permitted) on the hill. After that poured a 60 x 10 concrete deck and steps to our new upper deck that now overlooks the pool. They then covered the new wall and existing lower wall with new custom colored stucco. We have now doubled our backyard space and for the first time in 12 years be proud to show off our backyard!

"After we agreed on the estimate and the plan they quickly contacted me with dates, and were able, in the end, to start a few days earlier than planned. The work was done by two teams, one for demolition and the second for laying gravel, then sand, then the pavers. Each team was professional and efficient; clearly, they are used to doing exactly these sorts of jobs, and everyone knew how to work independently and together. I was impressed with their focus and skill, and their attention to detail. They kept cleaning up as they worked, so there was no mess to deal with during or after the job [although, of course, breaking and removing concrete is noisy and leaves dust]. They were able to move my many potted plants and furniture to the side and back of the house, without damage, and then to return things to their place at the end. When the concrete demo damaged some tiles on the steps, they were able to replace them without trouble [fortunately, I had extra tiles that matched the ones damaged]. The job was done efficiently and faster than I imagined -- demo was one day, and the installation -- including a day at the end to let the sealer dry -- took about a week. The final result was exactly what I hoped, and I am enjoying it immensely every day."
