Technician Steven was on-time and listen to my concerns. I have a large home and my backyard has lots of spiders and ants that needs regular maintenance.
Steven removed all cobwebs which our previous pest control company would never do. Our yard is mostly concrete with a pool. Steven arrived with a truck mounted sprayed and he did a great job at spraying the entire perimeter of the house including where all cements join together as that is the gateway for ants.
I watched and everything he said he would do he did and more.
I purchased the bi-monthly deal and this is our first treatment. Time will how well things work out or not, but so far and at the start everything went great and am happy to recommend them.
"A yard worker walking on the small hill near the sidewalk in front of our house stepped in a yellow jacket nest we didn't know was there. These pests are mean suckers. Another worker who was close by was bitten twice by these pests and they buzzed around him as he ran up our 42 front stairs. (He's OK and was not bitten again.) We'd used Eloy's services once before to remove a yellow jacket nest half-way up our steep front hill and were so impressed by his work that we called him right away and he showed up less than 2 hours later to remove the nest. He warned us there could be some cosmetic damage but we told him we didn't care. And it turned out that the white coated hole he left is a barely visible disruption to the patch of ivy and is actually consoling to see as proof the pests are gone. We've used some great contractors from Angie's list but Eloy is the best of the best: price, quality, pride in his work, punctuality, integrity, personableness?. Recently we recommended him to a friend who used his services and who was equally impressed. And not motivated just by money but more by building his business and doing a great job, Eloy stopped by a few months ago to advise us on a potential yellow jacket problem near our back yard barbecue and he didn't charge us for that visit. And this time he advised us to put up some yellow jacket traps to gauge the extent of the problem in the back yard. We bought a trap at Home Depot and hung it last night and this morning there were 15 dead yellow jackets inside. We'll be contacting Eloy again soon to see if thinks we need to hire him for his undetected nest removal service where he hangs containers with a poison that the yellow jackets bring back to their nests. We trust Eloy to let us know if we should use his services for this or try to handle it ourselves.
"Very good customer service from the office staff, they are very quick to return your phone call and follow up when you need help. I recommend them to anyone who wants a reliable pest control company to take care of their home."
"I had several wasps flying around my front and back yards. She looked all around my house, under my patio furniture (where we found spiders and wasp nests), and under my umbrellas. We also had a large nest inside an enclosed electrical outlet. She destroyed all of these nests, sprayed in all the likely places, and even climbed on the roof to spray the eaves. She was extremely helpful and pleasant and left me with a guarantee for the next few months. If I find anymore nests, they will come back and spray them at no charge. "
"John was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and reliable. Exactly the type of company that you want and need when you have a pest problem. I would highly recommend ProTex Pest and Termite to anyone and everyone. Will absolutely be using them again and recommending to my friends and family!"
"Over the past few years, I have hired Kilter to rodent-proof my house, treat it for termites and manage my pest control. I have always had a great experience with them. Hard working guys that do an exceptional job. Their $99 quarterly pest control plan is perfect to keep things under control."
"AMEN Pest Control has successfully controlled all of my pest problems by identifying the source of the problem and coming up with a treatment solution to keep pests under control. The rodents were because I had added an upper deck and changed the roof line. The trees were close enough to the house that tree rats were jumping onto my roof and burrowing into the attic. An ant colony caused the ant problem in my backyard. When we tented for termites, everyone in CA has to at one time or another, they included an ant treatment because they knew ants arrive to eat the termite carcasses. My mosquito problem was because of my pond and besides the added mosquito fish, they suggested a hanging mosquito repellent that controlled the mosquitos. AMEN Pest Control is the best!"
"Hi Tech was very professional in their inspection, bid and termite control. We had 3 inspection/estimates (the two other big names in the industry). Hi Tech was just much more professional and very competitive in pricing. Would definitely hire again."
One of the most widespread chemicals used for killing termites is Fipronil. It’s one of the most common insecticides used by termite exterminators to kill termites fast. However, it’s toxic and generally used in outdoor areas only. Popular brand names of termite killers include Taurus, Bifen, Termidor, and BioAdvanced. All insecticides have pros and cons: Some are safer around humans but don’t last as long. Some may kill nearby plants or have power odors. Some are designed for safe indoor bait stations but take much longer to work.
If you’re having trouble with your traps, first examine them for flaws that would allow a squirrel to escape easily, such as loose doors or hinges. It’s also important to consider the location of your trap: Place it in areas with higher squirrel traffic, and make sure it’s on a sturdy surface so it can’t wobble or tip (squirrels aren’t likely to walk in a trap that isn’t stable). Lastly, try changing out your bait—in-shell peanuts or peanut butter often work best.
Brown recluse spiders are attracted to homes and properties in search of shelter and food. Key attractants include a steady supply of insects, which are their primary food source. Consequently, things that attract other bugs, like food left out or poorly sealed trash cans, will also indirectly attract spiders. They also seek warm, dry, dark spots with nooks and crannies for nesting, such as untended wood piles, dirt piles, and cardboard boxes. Additionally, excessive outdoor lighting can attract insects, which in turn draws in spiders.
Mice are very unlikely to go away on their own. As long as there is food and shelter available in your home, they’ll call it their home, too. If your DIY efforts aren’t working, you need to hire a local pest control service to remove the mice infestation. Aside from carrying diseases, mice can chew through wires, insulation, drywall, and more.
Squirrels hate anything that disturbs the peace in their nest. Loud noises, bright lights, and strong smells like cayenne pepper or mothballs will deter them from your attic. Spread these scents, add a strobe light, or use an ultrasonic repeller to keep squirrels from nesting in your attic.
