"Thanks for the report. Always nice to work with you! Carole & Jeff"
"Hi [Member Name Removed], Jeff and I are thrilled that you love the BBQ. Glad we were able to build you a brand new BBQ for just a little bit more $$ than the other companies wanted to charge you to "fix" the old BBQ.. The new BBQ looks so much better than than trying to make the old one look good. Really glad you are pleased. Looking forward to the BBQ christening party! Carole & Jeff"
"Hi [Member Name Removed], We are so happy that you are delighted with your new concrete driveway with brick borders and block wall. It does look gorgeous, and we never tire of compliments. We are always flattered when we get repeat business That really say a lot to our clients about our work ethics, craftsmanship and how we build things to last decades. We see driveways Jeff has done 20 years ago with not one crack in them. We appreciate your loyalty and always look forward to working with you again. Best, Carole & Jeff"
"Hi [Member Name Removed], Thanks for such a glowing report. Jeff is truly a master at matching to existing. It's amazing when you can't see where the old work stops and the new work begins. Most masonry repairs are easy to spot. It's a lot more labor intensive to make the work look seamless. Unfortunately many clients that go with a cheaper "repair" bid, are unhappy with the end result, THEN, the understand the difference between a high quality job and an adequate one. Some clients just live with it, but I would say at least 40 - 50% of the time they call us back and hire us to re-do the work, which of course, ends up costing more because we have to demo the new work they just had done. Regards, Carole & Jeff"
"Member, you filed a complaint with the CSLB a year ago. We went to Mandatory Arbitration . You lost. We were not found to be liable of anything, not in violation of anything and you received no money for anything. If we had done what you are saying,, we would have been ordered to pay you money, and would have possibly had our license suspended or revoked. The work was gorgeous, you said so yourself. There were Type 2 Differing Site Conditions that changed the scope of work. We acted totally responsibly and followed procedure. We’ll let our 110+ sparkling A reviews do the talking. Thank you."
"Thanks so much for the recommendation. We appreciate it! You guys were a pleasure to work for :) Jeff and Carole"
"Yes, that was an unusual job. Never heard that one before :) Glad we were able to make it happen and respond quickly. You and [Removed members name] were delightful to work with! Carole & Jeff Miller"
"Thank you [Member Name Removed], Yes, Jeff does the same high quality work with the same level of detail, no matter no small the job. It has to be look perfect. :) Happy Holidays to You! Carole & Jeff"
"Thank you, [Member Name Removed], We're glad you are happy with the work and the overall experience. And, yes, Jeff is very good at coming with with creative, out of the box ideas to minimize costs. He's a keeper :) Carole & Jeff Miller"
"What a lovely report! My apologies for a tardy response. AL doesn't notify us when we get reports anymore...like it used to do. Thanks for the compliments, especially mine, HA Just joking! Yeah, you do learn a lot about your old house that you never knew b4, It is kind of fascinating. My house was built in 1927., And Yes, Jeff's 30 years of experience is very clear within5 minutes of talking to him. And his matching to existing is 2nd to none. Most folks can't tell where the new work is :) Now That's an Art. And he IS a sweetie pie on top of it all. Course, I guess I'm a bit biased :)"
"Hi [Member Name Removed], We happy you liked the work so much and enjoyed working with you too. Normally I write a reply in a time fashion, but since AL changed to this "new and better: system, I don't get notices anymore when clients write a report. I'm still trying to figure out what's better about it....... We happy we were able to accommodate your timeframe. Usually we're not able to turn around inspections and the work so quickly, but in this case the timing was perfect. Thank again. a real pleasure to work with you. Carole & Jeff"
"Thanks for the report. We're glad you like the work. Take care. Carole and Jeff"
Very professional. Superb work for a good price finished on time.
"Thank you so much for your report. It was a pleasure to do the work. We glad you are happy! Jeff and Carole"
The job was perfectly done, and even when it turned out that there was hidden damage, Jeff was professional and open about the path forward. His crew left the place in great shape, and even fixed up a few issues on the mantle at no additional charge.
Thanks, Jeff!
"Thank you so much for your report. We are very happy that we were able to successfully repair your fireplace/chimney and restore it to working condition. Wood burning fireplaces are no able to be built in Los Angeles anymore, so we are always delighted to be able to restore them. Glad you are happy with the work. And we're not usually the lowest price, so that's great too! Jeff and Carole"
Jeff came out twice to look at the situation and figure out ways that the issue could be resolved. We decided to only pull up half of the patio stones and not fully cement them back in so that there is also some chance for rain water to get into the ground (and to keep the cost under control which he was very conscious of). In addition to re-leveling the stones (most could be saved but some new ones had to be put in) Jeff installed a lot of new drainage (it turned out that even the existing drainage was not going anywhere - the were just slightly deeper holes in the ground).
A lot of things only became clear during the job (which was >1 week) and Jeff did a lot of adjustments and extras during the work (cutting off some steal sticking out of the patio which were remnants from former beams holding up a roof, etc.) without any extra charges.
He and his crew were super reliable and diligent. I had to be gone for work for a number of days and I totally trusted them to do everything as discussed - rightfully so.
I am so happy to have this problem solved and in a timely manner before more storms are coming our ways. I highly recommend Jeff (and Caroly who coordinates things from the office) to anybody.
