"Jose & his workers arrived on time at 7:30 am to cut 5 Cypress trees about 35 5o 40 feet tall. They worked efficiently and quickly, clean up all debris from my backyard & neighbor's backyard. While there is a lot of debate about whether boiling water is strong enough to kill tree roots, it is not best to remove the roots from large, old trees. You may be able to weaken young roots enough to remove them manually, but boiling water will likely not do the trick for large root systems.

Rock salt or Epsom salt can damage and kill tree roots over several weeks and can even assist in removing the tree's stump. However, you need to drill holes or cut into the stump and surface tree roots to inject them properly with the salt. Repeat the process every two weeks until the roots visibly rot away.
