Overall my experience was good. They did the work at a reasonable price. The one glitch was they were originally scheduled to do the job from 8 - 12. But they called that morning around 7:45 A.M to say the chipper needed to be repaired so they couldn't come until 1:00 P.M. They did get to the house a little bit after 1:00. I guess it's good they found the problem and fixed the chipper before they came out. But the change in schedule did impact my plans for the day.

They came out as promised to give an estimate, I hired them and we scheduled a day for the job. I took the day off work and when I called to find out what exact time they were coming, I was told the one person that knows how to use the stump grinder called out sick, so we scheduled the job for another day and they did not call nor did they show up.

Price was cheapest but had to ask the work completed per estimate.

The tree trimming crew arrived on time, performed its job efficiently and picked up behind themselves.

After some communication problems to start I personally met with John and Nick they listened to my concerns and addressed every one in a positive way. I'm pleased to recommend Pasadena Gardening and Tree Service to anyone in need.

This company did a professional job for a better price than other companies wanted for a difficult job trimming a huge tree. When an issue arose the owners rushed out to handle it immediately.

John Lampasona was very prompt arriving on scheduled times. The workers did a good job, cleaned up nicely and responded to requests. I would probably use their service again in the future. I thought the estimate was fair.

Difficult to communicate with

You get what you pay for. While they offered the lowest price, it was very challenging working with this company. We had to repeatedly ask them to do things they had initially promised to do. It took multiple calls to the office to get satisfaction. Worse, the owner over-promised and under-delivered. He promised to be on site the entire time his crew was here. In reality, he left after five minutes on the first day and left a non-English speaking crew to do the work. We could not communicate with them. You get what you pay for. While they offered the lowest price, it was very challenging working with this company. We had to repeatedly ask them to do things they had initially promised to do. In reality, he left after five minutes on the first day and left a non-English speaking crew to do the work. We could not communicate with them. Without direct instruction, the crew essentially did whatever they wanted. When we try to intercede they shouted at us in Spanish and walked away indignantly. I would not recommend this company.

They make big promises but want extra money to complete the job.

The owners were pretty awesome! Prior to calling Pasadena Gardening and Tree Service, I called another company. I asked for a quote to have the 2 oak trees trimmed since they were smothering the electrical lines and I was worried it was becoming a fire hazard, 5 stumps removed/killed off, and they recommended I removed a tree next to the oak to keep it healthy. and that the citris trees had a pest. The quote came back a whopping 3k. Being currently unemployed thanks to covid, I requested a break down of the invoice so I can choose what's in my budget... Well, long story short they didn't bother. So I went on Angie's List and they only recommended 3 companies. Pasadena Gardening and Tree were the first to call and they came out the very next day. The owners were amazing, they both wore masks, and when I explained I'd like a break down of the different costs since I wasn't working due to covid the owners worked with me and gave me a really great deal and gave me advice on how I can take care of the pests on my trees myself. After the last qoute I was expecting to only be able to get the oaks trimmed but they cleaned up both oaks, removed the tree next to the oak (they recommended it too) And they removed a stump and chopped the other ones flush to the ground around the oak (they can't be dug out completely since It could hurt the oak roots) The work: The guys were supposed to come Tuesday afternoon but their truck broke down, but they had some truck problems. That resolved they came first thing early the next day. They did amazing work, sure I had a few leaves and twigs left on the ground but overall they did a great job on clean up. They also had to go into my neighbors yard to clean up the oak on the border, he had some requests and they listened to him and also left his yard clean. (He's very happy to have his electrical wires clear now too.) Overall I'll definitely be calling them again. I am one happy customer.
