"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. There was a deadline for installing this part before tenants arrive. They did not care, would not m"

Haversack Tile is a family owned and operated business specializing in the removal and installation of ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tile. We do not sub out any work. Our license # is 785849, and we are bonded, insured, and carry workers comp. We offer competitive prices and estimates are free!

"Great! Mike called me right away and met me at my house at MY convenience to give me a quote. I could tell right away that he was trustworthy. He did most of the work himself, although he had a very capable assistant too. The work was done when he said it would be, and he didn't charge me a cent over what had been quoted, which is unusual in my experience. I recommend him and would hire him again."

"We hired them over a year ago. Our trees had not been trimmed in 15 years. They gave us a great price and were very responsive. They arrived exactly when they said they would and performed the job as stated. We will definitely use them again."

Chimney Inspection questions, answered by experts

Failing to open your flue can lead to serious health hazards if you start a fire because the smoke will back up into your home. Breathing fire smoke, even in relatively small quantities, is bad for human lungs, and smoke can also irritate your nasal passages and eyes. Furthermore, smoke can cause damage to your interior fixtures and furnishings, at the very least leaving an unpleasant smoky smell for a long time. In short: If your flue isn’t open (or you’re not sure if it is or not), don’t start a fire to find out!

Experts suggest your HVAC system should be inspected once per year. If you’re buying a new home, it’s also a good idea to have the house’s HVAC system professionally checked before the final sale. For HVAC systems older than 10 years, it’s recommended they are inspected twice per year. If you suspect a problem, you should schedule an inspection, even if you’ve already had one this year.

Unless you waived the inspection contingency, you can often renegotiate after a home inspection and push for a lower sale price. The seller could reject the new price, offer to carry out the necessary repairs before closing, or offer a seller’s concession, which means they’d take money off the top of the sale price to cover the repairs after closing.

Insurance companies will often take pictures of your house to confirm property details before issuing a policy or after receiving a claim. The insurance company may keep these photos on hand to compare to later pictures if you make a claim. It’s common for an insurance company to send someone to photograph the exterior of your home and your property without notifying you in advance. However, they’ll need to let you know ahead of time if they need to take interior pictures.

These are some of the critical considerations when planning to make your home accessible:

  • How wide are your doorways, wheelchair ramps, hallways, and pathways? These should be at least 32 inches wide.

  • Which bathroom modifications will be necessary?

  • Do you need to lower any cabinetry or other fixtures to make them accessible for wheelchair users?

  • Is there enough room to turn around in the shower?

  • Is there a second story of the home that requires a stair lift?

  • Is there proper lighting outside in the dark? If not, a floodlight may be necessary.
