The pest control man from PestX of Bakersfield (www.pestxbakersfield.com) had a one-hour window in which to arrive, and called toward the end of the window to say he would arrive in about 15 minutes and asked if that was all right.  Hurray!  The last pest control company I had an appointment with never showed up, and never called.  So this was good.  This one arrived exactly when he then said he would.  After introductions, he asked what I needed done.  He proceeded to walk around the outside of the house to inspect the roof and access to it, and identified possible ways for rodents to gain entry to our attic.  He then went into our house and up into our attic and inspected it for signs of rodent activity and entry ways.  He told me what he saw, which was only saw old signs, nothing recent.  We discussed ways to exclude future rodent activity, and he made some positive recommendations for exclusion (keeping the critters out).  He told me what to look for in the future as signs of rodent activity, and described what he would be able to do should exclusion not work.  For all his time -- he was here about an hour -- and the cost of coming out, he only charged me $50.00.  He was on-time, clean, professional, and communicated well.  I highly recommend this company.
