"So they’ve constructed many different things in my mother’s home now. From bathrooms to and a series of home improvement projects—most notably a complete bathroom remodel, as well as various upgrades and repairs throughout the house—and the experience exceeded all expectations. From the very beginning, the professionalism and attention to detail stood out. They treated our home as if it were theirs, ensuring that every fixture, tile, and finish was executed with precision and care. The bathroom transformation was truly stunning—sleek, modern, and remarkably functional. "Our experience is identical to what other reviewers shared. And yes, you should run from this company as fast as you can. Do not buy what Abraham shared that the payment must be made when the inspection is passed. Check the Business and Professions code yourself, the payment only needs to be made when the job is completed. It is very COMMON that the job is not even done or poorly performed even the inspection is passed. Here are the issues that multiple families including us run into with this company:: The project was delayed for over 9 months. No one manages the job. He often employs young men from his own Jewish community. They are enthusiastic but had no prior experience. The worse part is that they don't get paid. Two of them even set up a new construction business knowing Abraham will never pay them. Subcontractors can put your house on lien also. Many reviews you see on Yelp, Google, Angi are NOT genuine. Even the references are fake with hindsight, we were given 2 references. One reference shared the exact same accent as the PM. The other reference was initially happy with their work, but then reached out to us and shared a similar horror story with them like what we experienced. You will lose a lot of $$$ on materials as the subcontractors will somehow leave a thousand dollars worth of quartz at home. Maybe they want to compensate for the money Abraham owed them? Let me tell you, reordering materials is not fun."

Then, finally, we met Shai with Cal Green Remodeling. What a great guy! He is very upfront and honest about what we can expect in terms of cost and work flow. Because of his honest approach, we hired him. We felt he gave us the good and bad and how to resolve the bad as well. In the end, the process was fairly smooth, and the few hick-ups we had, for example, the city and their permit process, were well explained to us at the beginning, so we were ready. "It was such a smooth process. Our bathroom looks amazing. The team was very accommodating to last minute changes by us, very transparent in communicating to us on the milestones. We were also at work during the day and felt very safe with the workers around our dog. The project manager brought the right skilled plumbers, electricians and tile people to work on the project and it felt like a white glove treatment. On the cost side, very affordable for the quality of work they perform and we found the transparency in pricing very critical to us picking them."

"We shopped around and found the flooring that we liked. The representative (very nice gentlemen) came out and measured the area and provided the estimate. The vinyl had to be ordered since none was available and Armstrong had to manufacture (in Georgia). This would take 30 days but we were willing to wait. There was no additional charge for this. Approximately 3 weeks after ordering, we were called and set an appointment. The installers arrived on time and within 4 to 5 hours, the work was completed beautifully."

"I found Build the Bay through Angi’s List and I’m so glad we went with them for our bathroom update/remodel! Working with Eitan and his team was like night and day compared to other contractors I have worked with in the past. Specifically what I appreciated is that he treated me with respect and would take the time to explain in layman’s terms what was needed. (I’m not a construction pro by any means.) Eitan even shared a list of vendors that he has worked with in the past for materials and finishes, as well as a checklist to ensure I ordered all the finishing pieces in time. He would even be willing to review any products I was interested in to let me know if it was good quality. It’s only normal for unexpected issues to come up during construction, and what was also great is how communicative Eitan and his team were with me. They would quickly let me know what the issue was, explain what my options were, the cost for each, and what those options would mean in the long run. Eitan always responded very promptly via email or text if I had any questions or requested any updates. Our project has been done for about a month now and I have to say that I strongly feel like Eitan and his team delivered high quality bathrooms in a timely manner. I would definitely reach out to the Build the Bay team again if we needed to do work on our home again."
