Customers say: True professional

"Ron and his team (especially Pete and Carlos) were awesome and very professional. His team renovated (3) bathrooms and replaced all my floors (up/downstairs). Ron was amazing at helping us make decisions quickly that would otherwise take a long time. All of his suggestions contributed to us absolutely loving our finished product. None of his suggestions was about a money grab, just to make things better, which I appreciated. I found them using Angie even though I will probably never use Angie again because of my horrible experience with them, I am glad that we stuck with Hernandez Tile & Company. I will definitely be calling them again for our next project."

"We needed our shower floor retiled. Mario did a fantastic job! He came to look at space and discuss the project in advance at no charge. He brought tile samples that were perfect, coordinating with the wall tile and other finishes. Mario provided a reasonable cost estimate and did the job on time. He even used drop cloths to protect the carpet areas leading to the bathroom where the work was done. I was impressed he was able to cleanly remove the old tile without damaging the walls or surrounding glass. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Mario--he is communicative, kind, knowledgeable, careful, and flexible. I am grateful that our job was matched with Cubias Tile!"

"The salesman and the workers were all professional and helpful. I had carpet installed in an empty three bedroom house, and vinyl tiles in two bathrooms, so it went pretty smoothly. Everything looks great! The only problems were the dust in the bathrooms from scraping the linoleum off the concrete slab, and the fact that the workers did not install the luan sub-flooring before the tiles. I was quickly refunded the cost of the missing underlayment. I'll hire them again!"

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Schedule ceramic tile service projects in Stockton during the milder fall or spring seasons for optimal curing conditions; avoid extreme summer heat. It’s time for a project if you notice loose tiles before the winter rains or issues after your home has settled, which is common in the region's clay soil. Also, inspect tile after any plumbing work or plan for updates every 15-20 years.

Helpful?

For maintaining tile after a ceramic tile service project in Stockton, your kit should include a pH-neutral cleaner and a hard water stain remover to combat local mineral content. Keep grout sealer for annual application, soft-bristled brushes for cleaning, and a grout repair compound for quick fixes. A dehumidifier is also useful for controlling moisture in bathrooms during Stockton's more humid periods, protecting your investment.

Helpful?

A common mistake during ceramic tile service projects in CA is ignoring thermal expansion by not using flexible adhesives and proper joints. Homeowners also fail to account for hard water with correct sealers or address foundation movement common in Central Valley clay soils. Rushing the curing process in the dry climate and choosing the wrong installation season, like Stockton's extreme summer, can also lead to failure.

Helpful?

In Stockton, CA, signs that a ceramic tile service project needs redoing include cracks from thermal expansion and grout deterioration accelerated by hard water. Also, look for tiles lifting from the floor, hollow sounds when tapped, or efflorescence—a white mineral deposit common in the area. Water damage, loose grout, and chipped tiles from foundation settling are also clear indicators that a professional redo is necessary.

Helpful?

For ceramic tile service projects in Stockton, CA, choose materials that withstand local conditions. Porcelain tiles are ideal for temperature swings, while flexible, polymer-modified thin-set mortars handle thermal expansion. Use epoxy grout in high-moisture areas and a quality waterproof membrane. Given Stockton's hard water, a natural stone sealer is essential to protect against mineral deposits and ensure your tile's longevity and appearance.
