"Green Lane was very reliable and professional. Franklin was very knowledgeable and we appreciated how he came to check in on the team during the service. In total they took care of 8 trees including a removal, done speedily and no mess left behind. Will be working with them again for any and all of our future tree related needs."

"Look no further than Rancho Tree care. Hector and his crew are amazing. Reasonable, quick, excellent job and superb clean up. I feel so fortunate to have found them. "Abel Mares, the project supervisor was exceptional. His team cut down and removed trees up to 190+ feet tall within six feet of a house with no problems. His team showed up on time and performed flawlessly. I have dealt with a number of tree services and his is the best. I highly recommend Abel Mares, his team and R&B Quality Tree Care. Dan"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

It depends. Smaller, younger trees take longer to mature, but they're more resilient, their roots don't get as damaged during transplanting, and they recover faster. Plus, they're much more affordable to plant, and it's possible to DIY the planting.

On the other hand, mature trees produce fruit faster and provide more shade and privacy immediately. Ideally, a small or medium tree is the better choice if you can wait a few years for it to mature. But if you need immediate maturity, a larger tree is the only option.

No, homeowners insurance typically does not cover the cost of removing a dead, sick, or rotting tree that is still standing. Insurance is designed to protect against sudden and unexpected accidents, whereas a tree dying or rotting over time is considered a maintenance issue. Coverage usually only applies after a tree has fallen and caused damage to your property.

Professionals use assessments, strategic cuts, specialized equipment, and safety measures to ensure healthy growth or the safe removal of trees or shrubs.

Yes, it is essential to confirm that any tree service company you hire is properly insured before they begin work. Tree removal, trimming, and pruning are dangerous jobs, and proper insurance protects you, your home, and the company from liability in case of accidents or damage. Look for a company that carries both general liability and workers’ compensation insurance, and do not hire one that cannot provide proof of coverage. When browsing for professionals, you can look for indicators like an “Angi Approved” badge, which signifies that the business meets standards like holding applicable licenses and passing a background check. Keep in mind that a license is a legal requirement to operate, while certifications are typically voluntary.

The shepherd’s tree, native to the Kalahari Desert in Africa, holds the record for the deepest known tree roots at over 230 feet deep. Some African communities refer to it as the “Tree of Life” since it provides food, shade, and medicinal properties to the surrounding community.
