"OMG! Julie is awesome! So professional, so friendly, and she did an amazing job, at a fair price. I would totally recommend her and call her again if i needed some welding done. She went over everything she did, answered all my questions, gave me advice on sanding and painting my gate. If you need some welding done, definitely give her a call!"

"Wonderful service. This is a 5 -star company! Josh was on time and very professional. He designed and made a custom set of tables for my work space, using the ideas I showed him. He works with both wood and metal so was able to match the colors and style I wanted exactly. The quality of his craftsmanship is amazing. And he’s so nice! He even helped me fix a broken cabinet. I highly recommend Josh and this company for any metal fabrication or wood work. I will definitely call White Bison again. Thank you Josh!"

"Mello Welding is terrific. I received a call back and a quick estimate. The work to cut out a rusty section of railing and weld a new section in place was professionally completed on time. I really appreciated how quickly they responded. Very satisfied."

"Wow! We were very happy with the completed job! Starting with Deane, and sister, that provided the job estimate, and checked on job progress, to Victor and his crew that did all preliminary work, to the concrete finishers, and turf installers. I think the completed project is the envy of the entire neighborhood."

"they are located near the coast so they are unfamiliar with where Lowes is. With that said, installation went well. I pushed to get new copper piping as we were taking out my old unit. I didn't argue the price asked, but I expect superior installation and superior service. I also have an undersink unit where the owner says to take out and plumber says its up to me. So I left it. Hmmmm. Hope I made the right decision. They would have had to go to plumbing store to do it perfectly for me. They are all very nice, hardworking. Most importantly I already had a back flush unit I was taking out due to age, and this unit is a really nice one. I'd do it again. Really nice water in the whole house including spigots on the house. But does not include irrigation system. This is the water I wanted and my hair my skin and my dishes are all perfect now. 10 year warranty, no maintenance and a yearly checkup included.

Welding questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can use a saw to cut metal pipes. The best saw to use is a reciprocating saw, but even a fine-tooth hacksaw can get the job done. No matter which saw you use to cut metal pipes, wear protective gear, like work gloves, safety goggles, and ear plugs. Apply a firm, steady pressure to the tool, and always ensure the pipes are secured so they don't move while you make the cuts.

While a high-speed circular saw will cut through metal, and even cut through multiple sheets at once, the fast-spinning saw blades create a lot of heat. This heat can damage paint and other protective coatings, leading to serious problems like rust over time. The cost to paint a metal roof again to avoid this damage is typically an additional $0.50 to $1 per square foot.

The best thing to cut metal pipe is a durable pipe cutter that is made for metal. You may want to measure the diameter of the pipes before purchasing a pipe cutter to ensure it will be able to cut your metal pipes. Opt for a heavy-duty option to cut through metal like steel or cast iron.

The average cost for a welding project is about $300, with typical costs ranging from $125 to $490. However, prices can be as low as $125 for very small jobs or exceed $1,200 for large or complex projects. Welders typically charge an hourly rate between $65 and $150, depending on their experience, and many charge a minimum fee to cover overhead and travel expenses. The total cost is influenced by several factors, including labor, the cost of materials like metal rods and shielding gas, the type of metal being welded, the project's size and complexity, and your geographic location. For a precise quote, it's best to ask a local welder for an estimate based on your specific project.

Your typical household tools will not cut a metal pipe. To cut a metal pipe, you’d need more specialized tools like a pipe cutter or circular saw. Do not attempt to use these tools without taking proper safety precautions and wearing safety gear. It’s usually safer to let a pro cut a metal pipe, especially if you’re not confident in your skills with a heavy-duty saw.
