"We are always sad when a home owner is less than satisfied with their fence. I'm glad that she did realize that the workmanship was as it should be. I don't understand the misgivings of the material. I have a book full of pictures that she looked at extensively, the grade of Redwood that we use is actually a very good grade. Most of the pictures in my book are of this grade , and yes the wood has knots, it's Select Grade which is a tight knot wood. This is a couple of grades higher than anything you'd get at a home improvement store. I also explained that the next grade higher is more than double the price. I inspected the fence myself after it was done, and it looked exactly how I expected, exactly like the picture I showed her, and exactly how it should. I had also explained that there was no sealing needed for the wood so I don't understand that statement either. It's important to know that we don't supply the materials, we simply order them from a supplier, pick them up free of charge, and install them ."

"Angie's List was having a problem with the online requests getting to our email account and unfortunately we had a large number of customers that we were unaware of trying to reach us. This problem persisted over several months and seemed difficult for them to fix. We tried contacting everyone that hadn't received a response, and were only mildly successful. Our account manager is well aware of the issue and hopefully has solved the problem ."

"I can't say for sure why we didn't connect with this customer. We have very strict rules and checks and balances to be sure this doesn't happen. WE do have a contact page that can be filled out on our website, and there had been some glitches caused by the web host when they changed algorithms. That is the only way I can see that we may have missed a customer contact. My apologies to this person, we would never skip anyone intentionally."

"When I saw this review I looked up the proposal and we had sent it out the same day that we had met with the home owner. I called her, and explained that we had emailed the quote, and I verified the email address. She claimed it didn't arrive, and I suggested she check in the spam account which she said she had. I offered to send the proof that it had been sent and she declined. We get these every so often, but most people call and we figure it out very quickly. That seems much easier and with a better outcome for all, than assuming someone didn't do their job and writing a bad review. We never like loosing any customer or project , but I feel this the saddest way."
