"Encore Builders turned what we thought would be a stressful remodel into an enjoyable experience. We wanted to modernize our pool and give the surrounding area a facelift. They helped us choose materials that matched our home?s style, handled permits without hassle, and kept everything on schedule. The attention to detail was second to none, from perfectly aligned tiles to the smooth finish of the plaster. What stood out most was their communication?no surprises, no hidden costs, just a straightforward and professional experience. We wouldn?t hesitate to hire them again for future projects!"

"Bobby, was extremely trustworthy and did great work. He showed up when he said he would and made sure everything turned out great. I would definitely hire him again. He also did work for two of my neighbors."

"He made suggestions for prep work since I wanted to do some of the work myself. I followed his instructions then he came in to perform all the difficult work. We had to communicate with my neighbors since part of property is in their backyard, and he was very helpful in dealing with them. We had to lay a trench drain and my neighbors weren't happy. Randy performed in a difficult, emotional situation. I'm going to hire him again for significant concrete work on another portion of my property."

Concrete Resurfacing questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can grind concrete by hand, but it’s typically known as sanding concrete when done with a hand grinder. Additionally, you should only use this method if you’re working on a smaller area, like a countertop, rounding an edge, removing imperfections, or doing a spot repair versus a driveway or patio.

For handy homeowners, concrete projects are DIYable, and DIYing is a good way to save on the cost of a concrete slab, walkway, or other concrete work. If you’re completing a larger project or one that’s subject to building codes, you should always hire a professional to ensure the job is done safely and correctly.

A concrete overlay is often the most cost-effective way to resurface a pool deck. To do this, you’ll need to pour a thin layer of concrete over the existing pool deck, which you can customize by stamping or painting. A stamped concrete overlay provides additional traction on a pool deck that can help minimize the risk of people slipping and falling.

Typically a few days, including preparation and curing time.

Stamped concrete is durable and relatively easy to maintain. Regular maintenance includes sweeping away debris to keep it clean and prevent staining. It is also important to repair any cracks promptly to maintain its appearance and longevity. The concrete should be resealed every 2 to 4 years to protect the surface.
