"The only company that actually called instead of text. Drove to my home the next day. Very personable and friendly. Efficient job performance. Cleaned up meticulously after completing the sandblasting. Reasonable pricing. I would highly recommend this person and company."

"I was referred to this company by a friend. They charge little more than my original cleaning company, but they do better work actually. With my last cleaner I had to tell them every time where to clean. I signed up for monthly services and the guy gave me discount. Overall I recommend"

"We have used Mr. Aurnhammer before, having gotten his name from Angie's List. Mostly intermittent stuff until the rains were over. We called and left a message. He returned the call later in the day, and made an appointment to come over and see what was to be done. He made a list of materials, and a day to come do the work. He showed-up as he said and went to work. Work had to be done over two days because the wind started blowing too hard to deal with roll-up blinds and reed fencing. Charge was for his time, including picking up needed supplies from Lowe's. (We paid separately for for the materials.) He seemed to have the right equipment and tools for the work to be done. We will definitely call him again if we need other such work done."

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Sandblasting is a common method for removing paint. It works great if the underlying material is tough. This is because you can then use more abrasive sandblast materials, making the paint removal process much faster and less expensive. If you plan on removing many layers of paint on smooth surfaces, you’ll need to be more careful about which materials you choose to use to sandblast.

Sanding and pressure washing serve different purposes in deck maintenance, so one is not necessarily better than the other. Pressure washing is ideal for annual cleaning to remove dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. Sanding is a deeper restoration method used to smooth rough surfaces, remove an old finish, and prepare the wood for a new coat of stain or paint. The ideal process for refinishing a deck is to first clean it (with a power washer), then sand it, and finally apply the new stain or finish. While cleaning should be done annually, sanding and staining are typically needed only every one to three years.

Regular sealing and repainting help maintain the restored surface’s durability.

Sandblasting refers to the process of cleaning a surface using compressed air and aggregate. Soda blasting is the gentlest type of this method, but it differs from sandblasting that uses mineral or other aggregate, since sodium bicarbonate breaks apart more easily than other forms of blast media and, therefore, cannot be reused.

Yes, many professionals use dustless or water-based blasting methods for reduced environmental impact.
