"Great company, my tree was leaning over my house from on top of a hill. They did an amazing job removing the tree and keeping my home safe. And they really care about helping veterans. I’ll use them for all of my projects."

"His price is competitive with "All" the licenses you need for someone to be on your property. My renters were very happy with his communication during the job and their yards were cleaner when done then before he started. No problem bringing him back for more work later..."

"They safely removed a 60'ft oak tree that was diseased missing bark in large areas and efforts to revive it after the Camp Fire 5+ years ago didn't work. All Green Tree service downed by sectioning and cleaning branches with that chipper/grinder. They kept their safety promise, grinded both stumps below ground level and did a fine job for a good price. Thank You, Michael C. 2-15-24, (530)246-1755..."

"I had 4 very large oaks trimmed in a hard to reach area. They had industrial equipment and a 4 man team. Phenomenal, professional job. Safely removed limbs and had me inspect as they went to make sure they were cutting far enough for my liking. They raked, cleaned up piles and mulched branches. Left my house, nice and neat with a new "haircut". Couldnt be more impressed with their service. Bonus, my neighbor saw their work, loved it and they stayed later trimming her trees. They were eager and happy to work. They were tree perfectionist! Great job guys! Kyle"

"Jayson and crew are hard workers and transformed my yard in little time. I had been working on my project alone and finally called in the pros. The yard looks amazing and we are looking forward to spending friend and family time outdoors. Thank you!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Ivy eventually kills trees by restricting its growth, blocking sunlight, absorbing nutrients and water from the soil, and weakening the tree. Trees with ivy are more likely to experience diseases, pests, rot, and fungi growth. When ivy weighs down tree branches, the tree is more likely to break during a storm and cause damage.

While palm trees can bring aesthetic appeal to your yard, they have a couple of drawbacks. The main disadvantage is that many types require warm climates, so if you live in a cold region, you need to ensure you pick a palm that can withstand the freezing temperatures. Another downside is that maintenance can be difficult because of their height, which means you will need to pay a pro to prune the tree as needed.

A chainsaw is the best tool to cut down a tree, but you may also use a handsaw or ax. You may also want to use a lopper or pole saw to remove limbs before cutting down the tree. Wear chainsaw chaps and protective gear, including eyewear and earplugs if you use a chainsaw. Again, if you’re unsure about how to use this tool, this project may be one to skip.

Trimming a tree can take anywhere from just two hours to a full day, depending on the age of the tree, the number of trees, and the species. Young trees are generally easier to trim, as their branches are often thinner in diameter and easier to reach compared to mature trees. They also tend to be healthier. If you haven’t trimmed your trees before or it’s been a while, the process could take even longer.

You can start your search for a reputable arborist online by looking for professionals who hold the proper licensing and are fully insured. Next, read through some online reviews to see what kind of service the expert brings to the table, and confirm that they don’t have a history of complaints with the Better Business Bureau. Finally, you can ask the professional for a list of references and then call them to ask questions about the service, professionalism, value, and more that the expert brings to the table.
