Small jobs welcome

"was recommended to me by a friend and I am very happy I used them. Luis was always on time and showed up whenever he said he would to look at the job and come up with a quote. The crew that completed the work showed up on time and made quick quality work of the project I had. The driveway extension was tied in perfectly with the existing driveway and the new pad they poured plus installed 6x6 strong ties are square, level and to the exact measurements I gave them."

"The contractor (Ignacio) was very attentive and responsive to my requests and ideas. He was also great about proving his own ideas in a non-imposing way. The team worked diligently and the end result was fabulous. There was a small issue with the electrical towards the end of the project after I had provided final payment and his crew returned to fix the issue with no problems. Very trustworthy."

"Several plumbers would not install the circulating pump from the hot water heater because they claimed the undersink water supply hoses were PEX and they refused to work with it. Actually, all of the Elliott homes in Folsom have, not PEX, but Braided Vinyl water supply hoses, and these hoses connect to CPVC pipe, not PEX. All Pro Plumbing tackled the job and did excellent work."

"We had a new drain pipe with a new wood sidewalk & decking over the drain installed. The workers were excellent. Very hard workers. There was a lot of digging for the new drain pipe & wood to be torn out & replaced. We were impressed with the quality of workmanship. The work was completed in a timely manner. Also, the clean up was amazing. We highly recommend this company. The owner & all the employees were polite & answered any questions that we had during the process."

"I was having problems getting quotes for a tree removal that this concrete job hinged on. Home Advisor would only recommended one tree removal contractor. Dave went out of his way to refer me to two more contractors beyond the one that Home Advisor gave me. He even honored his quote after the expiration date due to the trouble of getting quotes on the tree. Dave and his team came out and worked through the one of the worst storms we've had here in several years. The 3 day job quickly turned into a 4 day job due to the rain and mud. They spent the first day removing a huge deck in the pouring rain. The next two days were spent pushing mud around, laying gravel and forms. They poured on the fourth day and it looks flawless. The crew was on the job everyday between 6 and 6:30 and were very polite and accommodating with us on the few times we needed to move cars out of the garage. Outstanding customer service."

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

The cost to install a new sump pump, including materials and professional labor, typically ranges from $1,000 to $3,000. The average cost is often cited between $1,200 and $2,500. Several factors influence the final price, including the type of pump, the complexity of the drainage system, and the installation location. For instance, installing a sump pump in a basement may cost around $1,200, while a more complex installation in a crawl space can cost an average of $3,900. It is important to hire a licensed professional for the installation to ensure quality work, which can impact the pump's lifespan and warranty. Note that these costs are for a new installation; replacing an existing unit is less expensive, typically costing $308 to $748.

In most cases, standard homeowners insurance policies do not cover damage from a sump pump failure or overflow. Coverage for water damage is often limited to sudden, unexpected events like a burst pipe that was not caused by negligence. To be covered for sump pump issues, you will likely need to purchase a specific rider, endorsement, or additional water backup insurance. If your insurer offers this type of coverage, they may require proof that your sump pump is regularly maintained.

French drains, sump pumps, and exterior waterproofing systems are common options. Choose one that best suits your property’s needs.

Most people consider a French drain to be one of the most effective solutions for foundation leaks, but it’s not always a standalone solution. French drains will help keep water away from your foundation to reduce the risk of leaking and structural damage from soil expansion, but depending on your foundation type and location, you might need other systems or techniques—like soil gradation and gutter and leader installation—to resolve the underlying problem.

The difference between an ejector pump and a sump pump lies in their purpose and design—an ejector pump functions to remove liquid gray water and soft solid sewage waste from your home. If you have a laundry room or bathroom in your basement, an ejector pump for your sewage tank prevents sewage from backing up in your washing machine or bathroom’s drains.

A sump pump is designed to remove excess groundwater that may enter your home, either due to flooding or periods of heavy rain.
