"Tito and Palani came out today to service my bathtub spout leak and bathroom sink leak. They also checked my hot water pressure in my kitchen sink and master bathroom. They were both professional, personable, and efficient. Tito is very knowledgeable and explained everything as they performed the work and even checked out some of my other fixtures based on me telling him what I was experiencing. They quickly got to work and fixed both leaks. I definitely recommend using Lateral Cleaning Specialist. I chose using them versus my home warranty company who had assigned me another company with an F rating on the BBB website. This is my 4th time using LCS and they always come through for me. Try them."

"Once again I called The Plumbing Pros, this time for a relatively simple job to replace two OLD hose bibs outside the house. Bruce Bruce was very punctual as usual and completed the job quickly, neatly and professionally. As before, he went the extra mile and included some minor improvements which added to the utility of those faucets. I will continue to call The Plumbing Pros for all my plumbing needs. I highly recommend them."

"Professional service technician found leak quoted price to repair leak within hour. Price for service was very reasonable so we had another facet that was rusted replaced. Happy with this company."

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

While Medicare will pay for some bathroom modifications, it won’t pay for all modifications done to help make the room more accessible for older adults. Plus, the improvements must be approved in advance, or they won’t cover the upgrade. Check well in advance of construction if you have coverage for grab bars, walk-in tubs, wider doorways, higher toilets, and more.

To keep a walk-in tub in good condition, clean it regularly with non-abrasive cleaners. It is also important to periodically inspect the seals, jets, and faucets to ensure they are functioning correctly.

If you don’t caulk your bathtub, then there won’t be a watertight seal between your bathtub and the wall tile surrounding it. As a result, water can seep into the wall and the floor and cause the perfect breeding grounds for mold and mildew. Not only does this require costly repairs, but mold can be harmful to those breathing it.

Installing a walk-in bathtub can be worth it if it improves the user's safety and independence. However, because walk-in tubs require a large investment, not every homeowner has the means or desire to install one. As an alternative, some homeowners prefer to install a walk-in shower and transfer bench instead. Walk-in showers cost between $1,150 and $8,000, making them far more budget-friendly in comparison.

Options include alcove, freestanding, clawfoot, or whirlpool tubs for various preferences.
