"Jimmie.....TOTAL LIFESAVER!!! Had a mouse in my bathtub drain- Yikes!!!! LCS called only moments after I'd requested them on Home Advisor. Was at my home a couple of hours later - the very SAME DAY, and totally fixed the problem! Jimmie was prompt, courteous & extremely professional! And the price was totally totally okay! I would recommend this service to everyone!"

"Excellent experience (set-up, service & follow-up). Text and called for appointments, emailed bills & receipts! Showed up on time. Technician worked like a laparoscopic surgeon with scope & Snake/Water Jet to find & fix a frustrating problem that had persisted for 12 years which 3 other plumbers NEVER FIXED over the last 10 years (massive grease clogs from former owners). GREAT JOB, Stayed LATE to really finish it up and do it right. Left things cleaner than they were before he came! GREAT WORK."

"they replaced it without the anti siphon value , said we didn't need it because we don't normally get freezing weather in our area that warrants one of those kind of faucets. Over all i guess it was fair price for what he had to do to replace it because of the line being inside the house wall."

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

The impact of a walk-in tub on home value depends on various factors, including market demand, demographic preferences, and overall home features. While some buyers may view it as a desirable accessibility feature, others might see it as a niche amenity, potentially limiting the pool of interested buyers. However, it could add value if the walk-in tub meets specific needs or enhances the property's appeal to a target demographic. Ultimately, its effect on home value varies case by case, with factors like installation quality, design, and neighborhood trends playing roles in determining its impact.

Resurfacing a bathtub is less expensive than replacing one. Resurfacing a tub costs about $330 to $630, depending on the material, while replacing a tub costs an average of $4,150. But remember that resurfacing is a temporary solution for a worn-out tub, and you may need to refinish a tub every few years to keep it looking new.

You can resurface or reglaze your bathtub, and it’s faster and less expensive than replacing a bathtub. Plus, replacing a bathtub is an extensive and intrusive process that requires wall repairs. Refinishing is an excellent option if the old one is in good working condition.

There are also options to install a bathtub liner over your existing tub. However, if you’re seeking a new bathtub with new features, you’ll likely want to replace your tub.

The cost to replace a bathtub is $2,000 to $9,400. Whether you want to spruce up your bathroom or your existing bathtub is not functioning correctly, purchasing a new tub costs about $5,700 with installation. Prices depend on the type and size of the tub.

DIY installation of a walk-in tub is not recommended as it is a challenging and risky project that requires advanced plumbing knowledge. Professional installation is crucial to ensure a proper and safe setup, water-tight conditions, adherence to local building codes, and the preservation of your product's warranty.
