"EDI Remodeling remodeled our kitchen, opened a wall between the kitchen and our living room, installed new modern led lights both in kitchen and living room and installed custom cabinets that look beautiful. The work is really impressive and we will recommend anyone who is looking to do a kitchen remodel to work with this company."

"The project went very easy considering all contact between Nina at ARC Water Damage and myself was conducted by telephone. It would have been extremely difficult for me to have met with someone from ARC to sign work orders, pay a deposit etc. Having spoken with Nina I was very comfortable that ARC would do a quality and through job, without my personal involvement."

"The toilet Stan suggested was available locally. My husband and I bought and installed it the following Saturday. We found the old toilet had a big chunk of mineral deposit at the sewer end. Stan gave us excellent free advice. I can't recommend him highly enough.

"These people may not be life savers, but they are property savers. In an age when it is getting rarer to encounter people who deliver what is expected, Water Damage Recovery stands out. Unfortunately, this is the second time our downstairs has flooded. Two years ago the firm that handled it did not do a very good job. This time, I contacted Water Damage Recovery. On a day when all the companies I called were swamped with work because of the big storm we experienced the night before, Water Damage Recovery showed up when they promised with the proper equipment.
Christian was a joy to work with. He explained everything and then got to work installing blowers and dehumidifiers. He even helped me move heavy furniture so that we could get to the wet areas. They sent someone every day to monitor the situation and take whatever steps were needed to manage the recovery process. I can recommend these professional people thoroughly.
The process is not quite complete as yet, so I do not know the final cost. Based on their estimate, it appears that their pricing structure is similar to their competitors. Their performance is extraordinary.

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Most faucets come with a rubber or plastic gasket that prevents leaks—but that’s not always the case. If your faucet doesn’t come with a gasket or it’s leaking, use a caulk gun to seal the gaps and prevent water damage.

There are several types of sink drain stoppers, including pull-out, twist-and-pull, and pop-up. Pull-out sink stoppers can be removed by pulling on the stopper until it comes out of the drain. A twist-and-pull design requires lifting then turning the stopper to lock it in an open position and the opposite action (turning, then pressing down) to close it. A pop-up sink stopper works by pushing down the drain cover to open or close the passageway.

Expect your stainless steel sink to last between 20 and 30 years on average. When well cared for, you can use your sink much longer, particularly if you protect it from rust. A new stainless steel sink costs anywhere from $200 to $1,500 including installation, so it's in your best interest to take extra care to ensure its longevity.

If your sink is on an exterior wall that isn’t insulated, or if pipes travel through a cabinet against an exterior wall that prevents heated air from circulating around the pipes, the pipes can freeze, causing them to burst. The best way to avoid leaking sinks is to insulate the pipes and open cabinets in the short term to warm the water line up and prevent freezing.

Deteriorated seals, O-rings, or gaskets are common culprits behind a leaky sink after you’ve turned off the water—especially if your sink is older than 15 years. Inspect each of these mechanisms in your sink for signs of corrosion or looseness, then replace the worn-out part to fix it. Older sinks may be worth replacing if several of the parts are worn-out.
