Kevin came out same day to clear an obstruction in lateral sewer line. He did more work than I even requested and was so grateful he could also fix a broken toilet seal; evaluated a broken tankless water heater and took picture of my collapsing sewer drain. He explained everything so clearly and patiently, it was really a pleasant experience even finally finding out what repairs are needed with a written fair estimate. Prices are very reasonable. John Gleeson will always be my “go to” plumber.

John was super helpful and professional. Saved me tons of $ and knows his stuff! I'm fairly good with basic plumbing but I could not get me sink to stop leaking. John fixed it right away without breaking my wallet. John Gleason Plumbing will be the first ones I call for any plumbing issues. I highly recommend.

Not only was the job done efficiently and excellently but John squeezed me in 5 days earlier than any other plumbing service. He did not charge me extra for the emergency call and came the same day I called. I was very concerned over the damage it was going to cause. He was a lifesaver and the job was done quickly and cleanup was excellent! Thanks for the service and I will definitely recommend this company to anyone needing work done.

I called several companies on Angie's List and none of them would come for 4 days. I found him through a referral through someone else and he came and fixed it. He did a temporary fix until he could come and do a repair. It seemed like the other companies which were major companies didn't understand that my water was gushing down my street. Its not like I could turn my water off. John came out and bypassed the meter. The price was reasonable I thought. I would use him again. I have referred him to many people. The first thing is that he was the only one who would come promptly. He came in 2 hours. He bypassed came back 2 days later. They had to dig up my lawn to replace the pipe and when they were done you could not even tell they had touch the lawn. You could not see where they had dug it up. They were on time and did the job quickly and efficiently. I couldn't say enough good things.

response was slow, and there were some miscommunication. Owner was accountable and had integrity, however.

Used a snake for clog then a water jet at another cost. Not sure the extra cost for equipment in addition to labor cost was worth it. Maybe those tools should be part of there inventory??

Perfect. After calling three Angies list plumbers who couldn't come for two days, John sent someone out within one hour to bypass the main and stopped the water from flooding the yard and street.  Came the next day and replaced the main.  The workers did an excellent  job trenching and replacing my lawn.  I have John's number on my fridge and call them whenever I need a plumber.

Although I needed a plumber on a weekend, the plumber responded quickly and efficiently.  The problem was heavy build up of calcified "crud" that required major scraping of the pipe walls.  Besides thoroughly explaining what was happening throughout the process, he recommended several ways to minimize the problem in the future.  Prices were very reasonable for the service provided.

Called a Saturday afternoon and left a message. Got a call back from John about 40 mins later. Said he could have some guys over in 30 mins. Sure enough they showed up and got to work immediately clearing the blockage (roots). Will definitely have them back out for additional work.

They are fast, they came right out. They were the only plumbing company that I could find that would come right out. When your water main breaks you don't want to wait for a day or two.

He arrived on time, looked at the job to be done, retrieved his tools from the truck and went right to work.  He had to saw off the old, rusted on shower handle and it was not an easy task but there was no complaining on his part.  After removing the shower handle he inspected the valve unit in the shower wall and recommended replacing the washers and some other small pieces and after getting my consent he got the parts from his truck and put the valve unit back togeth and then attached the new handle and trim.
I most appreciated his professional manner of getting right down to work with no fuss or complaining about how difficult the job was going to be.  I also appreciated that he completed the job in a timely manner.

Appointment was for Friday, but there was an emergency they had to deal with so we changed the appointment to Saturday at the last minute.  That's OK, except that when John showed up he mentioned he wouldn't charge for overtime that day.  Didn't sound like he was joking, but he must have been since the reason we were working Saturday was on their account not mine.
The kitchen drain was slow, not stopped.  I had been pouring boiling water down it to try and unstop it.  Clog wouldn't completely clear, but I knew the pipe was pretty clean.  John had a younger, newer guy snake the sink while he kept me busy chit-chatting in the living room.  Felt like he was trying to keep me out of the kitchen.  Took longer than I had expected, about 30 minutes. Charged $145 for the snake job.  Didn't give me a receipt. Asked me to only put his first name on the check, not the whole company name.  It all felt a bit odd.

They're fantastic. We called them after we got home. Somebody answered and they were actually on their way home. They were in the East Bay and we live in the North Bay, it would probably take them an hour to get over here because of the heavy traffic. They said they would call and see if somebody closer could come over. I expected that they would charge an emergency charge because it was after hours but they did not charge us. It's a lot of trouble to even find where he had to do it outside because we live in a condo so there's a common line he had to get to. He totally cleaned up the bathtubs and showers then he put some antibacterial cleanser. The bathrooms were cleaner when he left. He could have charged us 10 times more than what he charged us. They were absolutely the best experience I've ever had.

i had a clogged toilet which was backing up into my bathtub and caused some other minor flooding.  I had to turn the water off to the entire house.  I called my plumber who couldn't come for another 3 days and 4 other local plumbers who were all busy.  I looked up John's plumbing on Angie's list and called them, and they came out that day.  They came in the 2-hour period they told me they would come.  The guys they sent out were very nice and snaked the toilet which fixed the problem.  They answered all my questions and were respectful and kind.  They checked the plumbing under the house and made recommendations to keep the problem from happening again.  They were there when I needed them, and they did a great job.

A week after moving into my new house as a first time buyer, I put some flower stems down the garbage disposal. The kitchen drain clogged down below the house and promptly quit working. That same day (Sunday) I called my previous landlord (of the previous 16 years) for a suggestion, she promptly mentioned John's Plumbing as the one to call. So I did - 7:30 AM Monday morning. I was prepared for a wait before getting an appt. After a short conversation with a pleasant gentleman about the problem I had, he asked "Are you home now?" I told him I was. He responded stating that some one would be out in a half hour. A bit under a half hour later (before 8:00 AM), a knock on the door and I was on my way to getting help. About an hour later the drain was clean and I was a happy camper. The fellows that came out were helpful, friendly and professional. It was a reassuring experience for me as a first time buyer to have my first major problem handled so easily by John' s Plumbing. Will be calling them for all my future sewer and plumbing needs.

The house had been smelling of sewage, but the usual evidence of a sewer blockage wasn’t there, so I didn’t call my regular rooter company. I knew the sewer ran underneath the side of the building that smelled the worst, so I assumed it might be leaking. After much research I decided to try using John’s Plumbing and Sewer Service. The smell was the only symptom I could describe when I called. John said he couldn’t get to me till the next day, but he would come by later that afternoon to assess the job and give me a price. He arrived exactly when he said he would - carrying a copy of the property’s sewer plans from our local sanitary district. I was impressed. There is almost no access under my house, so we walked around outside to where the smell was strongest. John and his associate Brandon immediately determined the location of the problem by sniffing through the crawlspace vents till they found the worst one. They very carefully removed that vent and shined a flashlight in at - leaking bathroom plumbing. John gave me a bid on the spot, instructions as to what not to do till he and his crew arrived the next day, and arranged the time at my convenience. The access to the crawlspace nearest the bathroom is a small floor panel in the master bedroom closet. When the guys arrived (on time!), they carefully laid new canvas tarps along all the carpeted areas they’d be walking over. Brandon went “under” to assess the extent of the problem. In no time he had determined which pipes needed to be replaced. John sent Paul for the parts while Brandon dismantled the damaged pipe assembly under the bathroom. New parts arrived, Brandon installed, and the pipes were tested for leaks. Because the toilets in the house were sluggish, John was concerned that something may have been causing pressure to build-up in the sewer pipe below. He decided to break out the video camera to make sure the line was clear to the street. Turned out it wasn’t. I’d had a guest for 4 months who had been flushing baby-wipes (!) down the toilet. That had required a visit from my regular rooter guy a few months earlier, but the camera revealed there was still a huge plug of baby-wipes about 10’ downline from the bathroom repairs. Because of the zero clearance under the house, the guys figured out a way to run the roto-rooter line through the siding vent into the sewer line under the bathroom. They cleared the line all the way to the street. Everything was tested again. Water ran freely. Toilets flushed fine. No leaks. John arranged to have Brandon come back in the morning – again at my convenience - to disinfect the contaminated basement area. He arrived exactly on time, did the work, picked up the tarps, put the panel back in the floor and left. You would never have known there had been any workmen there at all. I can’t say enough good about John’s Plumbing and Sewer Service. John Gleason is honest and forthright about cost and what the work will entail. He and his guys are reliable, respectful, resourceful, and just plain good. I’ve had them back for several other small jobs, and the company continues to be the best plumbing experience I’ve ever had!
