"This was an intake call with Dayne. I haven?t ordered the job yet, but probably will be since the pricing is just so competitive and I?ve used you all before for our prior fence project and it worked out great. Dayne was really helpful, taking down all the information and working with me on all the specs that I needed to ensure that the job matches what I wanted."

"Juan and company dug out and leveled backyard to produce a kid friendly play yard with playground mulch and 3 pathways with flag stones. Juan even checked to be sure the play yard mulch did not contain any chemicals harmful to children or pets. Juan also fixed a broken pond pump in my front yard. Highly recommend these guys. They are awesome"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

There are a variety of second-story deck privacy ideas depending on your budget and aesthetic. For starters, you might consider fencing or tall privacy railing that masks a good portion of the open deck. A pergola or an awning can provide additional cover and shade. Outdoor curtains are an easy way to add or remove privacy at your convenience, plus they’re a wallet-friendly way to decorate your deck.

There are several options for post materials. Depending on where you live, the weather, and what kind of durability you want, you can choose from wood, steel or concrete posts for a barbed wire fence. Your corner and end posts should be especially strong in order to maintain the structural integrity of the fence.

When it comes to materials, wire fences are the cheapest option. The average cost for a 150-foot wire fence is $1,350. The next cheapest material is chain-link, followed by wood.

As far as the style of fence, smaller, less private fences are cheaper than large, elaborate fences that block your whole yard. That’s why split-rail fences are the cheapest option for wooden fences. They cost roughly $10 to $30 per linear foot.

Pickets should sit at least 2 inches off the ground to encourage groundwater to flow underneath. Pickets can sit as much as 6 inches off the ground, but setting it any higher could let pets in or out of your yard unintentionally. These are not to be confused with the fence posts anchored underground with soil or concrete footing.

Ideally, when you replace a fence post, you should also replace the concrete footing. The concrete bonds to your new post, creating a secure base. If you install a new post into old concrete, it won’t be as sturdy.

That said, it is possible. Sometimes the post will lift right out of the concrete. If not, you can use a high-lift car jack to try and lift the pole out of the footing. Put the new post into the same hole and backfill it with fast-setting concrete. Keep in mind, this won’t work well for metal posts.
