"It took us time to find a contractor. We got over Six quotes only two contractors actually sent us a bid. Ben was very responsive. He sent us the quote within a week from the visit. We were very satisfied with the process. We were always in the know. We have done renovations In the past with contractors and we were always not pleased with not knowing the schedule. We finally found someone we can trust and will definitely be using him again. Thank you again Ben it was a pleasure meeting you and working with you."

As a family-owned business, they truly care about the quality of their work, and it shows in every detail. Our kitchen remodel turned out absolutely amazing—better than we could have imagined! Their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and dedication to making sure everything was done right made the entire experience stress-free. They kept the work area clean, communicated with us throughout the project, and treated our home as if it were their own. If you’re looking for a trustworthy contractor who takes pride in their work and delivers exceptional results, we highly recommend JRA Construction. Thank you for giving us the kitchen of our dreams. "Ray and his team went the extra mile to help get my new deck and screen functional after removing the sliding door to remove rot. Ray himself even came back to help me replace my plants on the new deck after finishing. Ray and co. deliver top notch service I'm not used to anymore. I appreciate that very much."

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

Framing a house with steel generally takes less time—around five to eight weeks—than most building materials. The steel components can also be made quickly off-site and manufactured with pre-punched holes for running piping and electrical wiring, which will lessen the prep work and extra labor during construction.

Most of the time, you’ll want to use screws on your subfloor rather than nails. Nails can actually weaken plywood, whereas screws can easily penetrate without damage. They also form a more secure connection because of their shape, preventing squeaky floors and tightly holding the subfloor in place. That said, some contractors do prefer nails depending on the type of floor covering because they allow for more flexibility.

Yes, most services include necessary frame modifications for proper door fitting. Confirm with your provider.

If the bowing basement wall is less than 2 inches, steel or carbon fiber straps are the best solution. For bowing that is more than 2 inches, wall anchors are the most effective. A contractor can help you decide the best method of repair for your home's foundation and also address the root cause of the trouble.

The cost to install a bow window can range from $1,500 to $15,000, with a national average of $3,900. The total price includes materials, which can cost between $1,200 and over $14,000, and labor, which typically adds $300 to $1,900. Several factors influence the final cost, including the window's size and frame material. For example, vinyl frames are the most budget-friendly option, while wood frames are more expensive. Custom features or energy-efficient upgrades will also increase the price. For comparison, a bay window installation typically costs between $1,000 and $7,000.
