"Finally!  A plumber that shows up on time and does efficient and neat work.  Also doesn't aggressively try to upsell you on other services.  One more thing, we supplied the faucet to be installed and there was no attempt to charge us for the lost commission  the company did not get on the sale for the faucet.   In other words, just what you should expect from a plumber."

"EDI Remodeling remodeled our kitchen, opened a wall between the kitchen and our living room, installed new modern led lights both in kitchen and living room and installed custom cabinets that look beautiful. The work is really impressive and we will recommend anyone who is looking to do a kitchen remodel to work with this company."

"Stan showed up within 1 hour of our call. He located the break in the main and proceeded to repair it on the spot. He also added a couple of valves and access boxes to ensure that any future problems can be dealt with easily. Great job!"

"I am re-landscaping my yard and had used Nato before for a small project and he did a good job for me so I asked him to bid this project. His price was competitive. He and his crew arrived promptly, completed the job on time and did quality work. I installed some irrigation lines and landscape lighting conduit during their job and I was pretty slow and it delayed them from filling in their trenches. Nato and his crew were very patient and Nato actually helped me at one point since I was such rookie. My landscape architect wanted the drains to be done a certain way and while it was not the usual way Nato did drains he was fine doing it the way that was requested. I would definitely use him again and told him to use me as a reference."

"SGK came out and replaced 4 of our windows earlier this year. The team was professional and helpful from the office staff down to the installers. We love our new windows and we won't hesitate to use SGK again for future projects."

"OVERALL IMPRESSION. Shaun and his crew did an excellent job. I would not hesitate to hire them again. PROFESSIONALISM. Each day of the job, the crew showed up on time, prepped the work area by putting down drop cloths, plastic, etc. At the end of the day, even when they were coming back first thing the next morning, they picked up all their drop cloths, straightened out the work area, and even vacuumed the hallway. Shaun did much of the work himself and even when he wasn't he came by the job almost every day. His professionalism started before the job. He came by to talk to me about what we wanted done one afternoon and I had a written estimate in my email inbox that evening. When we needed some help making decisions about fixtures and finishes, Shaun met us at a local design center and spent at least an hour with us talking about ideas (this is before we had committed to the job). TIMELINE. With any contractor, you expect to have to work out a time window that works for both you and any other job the contractor has going. Shaun had a 2-week window open at the end of October. We advised him that we had a big party planned for the end of the month and didn't want to start the job unless he could definitely be done by then. He said it shouldn't be a problem and, sure enough, the job took even less time than we expected. QUALITY OF WORK. Of course, ultimately the proof is in the pudding and I must say that the new bathroom looks great! As I look at everything more closely, I keep finding little touches that I appreciate. For example, when they replaced the floor tile with stone, they ran a narrow strip of stone up onto the toe-kick of the vanity. They could have just as easily butted the floor stone up against the toe-kick and left it at that (you wouldn't even see if if you didn't look for it), but it's a nice detail that looks great and will add to the life of the floor and the vanity."

"Freedom Underground did an excellent/quaility job in replacing our broken main water line. The did a minimum job of disturbing our landscaping and when they finished there was no sign that anything was disturbed. The crew was professional and courteous."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, if you live in a climate with extended periods of frost or snow, it’s best to winterize the sink and avoid potential bursting. Similar to winterizing a garden hose, turn off your water from the source. Once turned off, open the faucet so the remaining water completely drains out. You can also pour a small amount of antifreeze down the sink drain so any trapped water won’t freeze.

While the drain connection for a garbage disposal is nearly universal and fits standard sink drain holes of 3 1/2 to 4 inches, the size of the disposal unit itself is not. You must have enough space in the cabinet underneath your sink to accommodate the disposal's housing. A larger model may not fit in a compact cabinet or if the existing plumbing is arranged in an unusual way. Before buying a new garbage disposal, measure the available space under your sink. If you are replacing an old unit, it's often easiest to choose a new model of a similar size.

Once you have your garbage disposal disconnected, you can remove the mounting bracket by unscrewing the bolts that are holding the bracket. You can back them out just enough to pop off the snap ring, which prevents the bottom portion of the bracket from disconnecting from the top when you unscrew the bolts. Use a regular screwdriver to pop off the snap ring, and the rest of the components should fall off by themselves.

Porcelain and enamel sinks have very similar appearances, but they aren’t the same. Porcelain is a ceramic made from natural clay, while enamel is a strong powder that’s glazed over a metal sink. Use a magnet to determine whether you have an enamel or porcelain sink. If a strong magnet sticks to the sink, it’s likely enamel. If it doesn’t, you probably have a porcelain sink. You can also use the model number on the sink (often found on the underside of the bowl) or information from the manufacturer to determine the material.

Drop-in sinks, also known as top-mount, are the easiest to install, especially when they fit the existing sinkhole. Drop-in sinks sit on top of the counter and have a raised edge to keep water from splashing onto the floor. They come in different styles to match your kitchen design.
