"I called CXC Contracting because I had noticed uneven floor in one room of the house. Will Crawford inspected the concrete slab under the floor and performed accurate measurements of the house leveling inside and outside the house. Despite the uneven floor, he concluded that the house did not need any foundation repair and that the uneven floor was caused by imperfections of the concrete.slab. He spent a lot of time in my house and provided an objective assessment of the house foundations not influenced by considerations of personal advantage. He provided unbiased recommendations about how to improve the floor leveling. I was very impressed by his professional ethics and technical knowledge. "Cielo Construction did a fantastic job on the landscaping project, and it was a pleasure to work with him. When we moved into our first house 5 months ago, the front and backyard needed complete makeover, plus the driveway had really bad cracked asphalt. We hired Nir and we checked his references to make sure we do the right decision before hiring him because he did 2 projects in our neighborhood and we could tell by how they came up that he really did a great work. Nir explained to us all the different types of hardscape from gravel to artificial turf and he did a design a plan for us. Nir was very patiently with us and he went through several redesigns until we were happy and agreed on what we want, which turned out to be a mixture of artificial turf and drought tolerant plants in mulch. We wanted to replace the driveway with concrete and we requested Nir to do a pretty brickwork like almost all of the houses nearby had. Nir suggested instead that we go with pavers, saying that they would really make the place stand out. Nir was definitely correct. Our house is the only one that have pavers and it looks really beautiful, we got so many good compliments about them. He also helped us to select the color that matched the house which was had just repainted. The workmanship on the driveway as well as a double pathway we had him do out front shows great attention to detail, you can really notice that whoever did that work, did invest the time and effort to do it right. We love plants and flowers, but we mostly love the stone work that he did. The front and back yards turned out to be so beautiful and great. We are very happy with the results, and we highly recommend Nir and his workers from Cielo construction to anyone who wants to remodel the garden/driveway or any other remodeling project."

"If you want something done well, call Nir and United Builders of L.A.!  If something isn't perfect, he can't rest till it's remedied.  When the building inspector came when all  was completed he marveled how Nir had exceeded the building requirements.  My husband and I decided that whenever there is an earthquake, the safest place in our house will be on the porch!
Nir was faithful to the schedule he set and accurate as to how much time it would take.  His foreman Ricardo was industrious, affable, and conscientious.  The men were pleasant, polite, and cleaned up thoroughly every day at the end of their workday.
Nir was also very careful of his sub-contractors.  if he felt their work was not excellent and timely, he went to someone else that was.  The concrete porch is based on footing that exceeds porch requirements.  The concrete is supported by the strongest rebar.  The uprights are supported and offer support to the roof, again exceeding requirements and also making the use of unattractive knee joints unnecessary.  The roof is sturdy and supports solar panels.
Two additional things I really appreciate about Nir.  First, he has a good aesthetic sense, so that if he recommended something in terms of detail, it was always lovely.  Second, he really wanted to build what we wanted, and was careful to ask all the right questions so that he got a good sense of our style and taste.   Consequently we now enjoy our dream porch every single day.

"Gil is a pleasure to work with. After my initial contact he came by as scheduled to review the job site and meet with me. Work was scheduled that same week and completed in 3 work days. Gil’s crew was skilled and efficient. Gil did note that I had some drainage issues and recommended the addition of drains to the concrete project. His price for the drain was competitive and would insure that my side yard drainage issues that occurred during heavy rains are remedied. Gil and his crew poured/finished a beautiful new walkway. "Edwin Monroe is a very courteous and polite person.  He was always prompt and if he was running late, would always call ahead to let me know.  My wife and I were remodeling our house.  We needed to demolition one of our existing rooms to build two new bedrooms.  Although Edwin doesn't do demo work, he proved us with Fred's Hauling who did an excellent job.  Edwin, working with my general contractor, then proceeded to form the foundation area.  It took alot of work:  digging and then building the forms.  Edwin's crew consisted of hard-working men who worked in upper 90's to 100 degree temps.  They almost always left a clean work site at the end of day.  (I dare anyone to find a contractor and his crew who is 100% clean!)  We didn't  pass our first LADBS inspection.  Edwin and my GC misread the prescriptives (building codes) provided by the LADBS.  The foundation needed to be dug out another 8"!  This after the forms had already been built!  It added another 3 days worth of work and of course the original estimate cost went up.  I wasn't happy.  However, Edwin's crew kept working.  In the end, the Building Inspector came out and approved the work.  The concrete was then poured and the foundation looks beautiful.  As a side job, Edwin poured a concrete pad to my already existing patio.  This was a small job in comparison to the foundation work.  I had colored concrete that I told Edwin to try and match as best he could. We both decided on a color.  Edwin's crew built a form and poured colored concrete the same day our foundation was being done.  This job came out beautifully, too!  I was nervous about the new concrete color matching our six year old concrete, but it looks fantastic.  Overall, I'm very happy with Edwin's company.  Despite the mistakes made with the codes and not getting passed initially on our inspection, Edwin tried to be as fair as he could when he had to raise the price of the first estimate.  He is a fair and decent man with an extremely hard working crew.  I wholeheartedly recommend his company.
