Gil insisted on personally eyeballing the 27-year-old unit to be replaced and took great pains to take every single measurement imaginable to make absolutely sure that the replacement unit would fit perfectly into the sleeve, thus sparing me the big expense of having to tear out the sleeve and install a new one.
