"Decent work but exorbitant prices. Asked $8,000 for 4 days of work for one LHS handyman including such routine tasks (changing door handles and door hinges, installing a ceiling light and switch, shaving the top of a door, partial grouting of two showers, relocating a small kitchen wall cabinet to a different wall, minor painting, sealing an outdoor light, etc.) and using mostly my materials (hinges, switches, light, door handles). Why? Because owner Derek Bingley uses a cockamamie pricing scheme based on tasks rather than a flat hourly or daily rate. Get ready to pay through the nose if you hire them. You?ll never meet Bingley unless you?re in Thousand Oaks; you deal with his workers and the cost estimator. Moreover, of the 4 days of scheduled work, the handyman rescheduled twice due to personal issues. I expected more consistency and professionalism for the price I paid. On the last day, I intended to go through the checklist of work with the handyman, show him some addition"
