"This is the 5th or 6th time Western Rooter and Plumbing does a plumbing job in my house over past 10 years. They installed softwater tank, replaced waterheater, fixed plumbing, and more. Always excellent"

"We had a pipe leak in our ceiling from a corroded 1 inch elbow and an adjoining t connector and we asked bids from a variety of plumbers. I really appreciated the bid from ASAP Plumbing because they were much more straight forward and knowledgable without being intimidating. Roland and his crew were terrific, experienced, professionals. They did super clean soldering work and they packed up and kept the work site spotless. They were fast, efficient, and a good value. It's great to find a tradesman like Roland who works with great integrity. I can't say enough great things about them. He knows his tradecraft and he's super easy to work with no up-sell pressure (which is super refreshing). I feel he's one of the best out there."

"Albano's Plumbing is highly recommended. The staff are courteous, responsive, and highly professional. A gas line was damaged in the home due to an inadvertent drill hole (stud finders locate gas pipe, not just wood studs). Albano's proposed a repair for the gas line that was economical and fast. Other plumbers were consulted on the repair, and each one of them proposed a repair that was much more expensive - replacement of the whole segment of pipe to the next fitting. However, Albano's proposed a repair that included removal of the damaged pipe, rethreading at the point where the pipe was cut, and then pipe replacement using the newly threaded end. The repair was tested and accepted by the gas company.

"I’ll make a short and sweet they arrived on time completed the work very quickly, nice gentlemen. I would definitely hire them again. When friends asked me if I know a good plumber company I definitely will refer them to this one.. They’re very straightforward with the pricing and how much it would cost. They found a bigger issue when they got here and still gave me a great price."

Sump Pump Installation questions, answered by experts

You shouldn’t shower while a sump pump isn’t working. Although household wastewater isn’t supposed to go into the sump pit, it’s best to wait to shower until your sump pump is running properly and able to move excess water out of the basement. If you need to shower when the sump pump isn’t working, aim for a short shower.

A sump pump can be plugged into a regular, 110-volt outlet with three-prong openings, but it must have GFCI protections per the NEC, meaning you’ll need a GFCI outlet and circuit. Sump pumps require two outlet openings, one for the plug to the motor and one for the float switch.

A sewage ejector pump is necessary if you have any plumbing fixtures, such as a bathroom, laundry room, or sink, located below the level of your home's main sewer line. Standard plumbing relies on gravity to drain wastewater and solid waste into the municipal sewer system or a septic tank. For fixtures below this level, like those in a basement, gravity cannot move the waste upward. The ejector pump provides the force needed to pump the sewage up to the main line. Without one, wastewater from below-ground fixtures would back up, potentially causing a sewage overflow and flooding. If all of your plumbing is on the main floor or higher, gravity is sufficient and an ejector pump is not needed.

Submersible and pedestal sump pumps are two popular types of sump pumps. Submersible models are covered by water in a sump pit, which helps keep the motor cooler and quieter. Pedestal sump pumps stick out of the sump pit, so the motor stays dry and is easier to access. Submersible sump pumps are the pricier option, but they also have longer life spans.

Costs range from $300 to $1,200, depending on the pump type, issue, and installation complexity.
