Small jobs welcome

"The boss and workers were professional and cleaned up their mess of tree branches. They took the two dead trees out easily without having to climb either one. It took them 45 minutes from start to finish and I paid $800. A good deal for Evergreen."

"These guys they send out are not tree experts & have chainsaw, will travel, should be their motto. They are polite and helpful but they cut too many good limbs off one tree so now we don't have much shade. I hope the limbs grow back but doubt it. I have to watch everything else they do, to make sure they don't break anything else (dropped limbs on patio furniture) and only cut what's necessary. I tried to call the boss or fast-talking salesman to complain that they are cutting out too much but the mailbox was full so I couldn't talk to him or leave a message. Wish I'd hired the first guy; I have a feeling he knew more about what he was doing. Next time I'll Google a certified arborist (the first one I called didn't return my call), who will cut out only what is needed to be pruned and will leave the good limbs (they said they were dead but they had green foliage on them so they weren't dead."

"First of all, this guy is a certificated ARBORIST! He knows trees!  This was very important to me.  I didn't want "some guy with a chainsaw" to tell me the trees had to come down.
After looking over the trees and their location, he told me that the trees would continue their secondary growth and that growth would push up the pavers in the yard, and even if the pavers were reinstalled the secondary growth would push them up again over time.  He gave me some options to consider.
He is based out of central Orange County and because of distance, he declined to do work in Bellflower which was disappointing.

"It was a fine service. They did what I asked. They came out, we discussed what was a priority and also what needed to be done. They didn't get to everything but got all of my properties finished for me.

They were helpful with suggestions, when he did the lawn and edging and then he re edged again to make it look sharper."

"I wanted a licensed arborist for a consultation and they got me one in a few hours. The arborist emailed me his credentials and a member of Alfonzo's came out with him for the consultation. Alfonzo's service was quick well done ata very reasonable price. I would absolutely recommend them. They will be my exclusive tree service from now on."

"There was evidence of termites when construction began so the builder assumed I would need a full termite service. Hydrex inspected and found termite problem is in the past. Could have easily jacked me up for some kind of service but instead they were honest and did not even charge for the inspection. So grateful!"

As well as developing a very successful state wide franchise with Hydrex Pest Control, he also held a number of patents. He invented the B-Gone series of pest poisons that many remember, a vermin exterminator, and the Pestron machine for producing insecticidal vapor. He developed many of the methodologies used today. Arborists questions, answered by experts

The best tools for tree removal include a chainsaw for large trees, an ax for notching and cutting down small trees, and a wedge to help control the direction a tree falls in. A hatchet can be useful for very small trees, but won’t be effective for medium to large trees.

Transporting a fully-grown tree requires heavy equipment, typically specialized for the task. A tree spade is a truck-mounted tool that removes the tree from the ground in one location, transports it, and places it in a new hole in a new location. A combination of mechanized shovels and lifts is necessary to move very large trees, and the exact tools often depend on location and the surrounding area.

Deciduous shade trees (the type of trees whose leaves fall off in autumn) need to be pruned in late winter—between February and March. That’s because it’s easier to find and remove sick or dead branches when no leaves are present. And wounds close and heal faster in colder temperatures so pruning them at this time also makes them less prone to infection.

For Bradford pears, damage from storms is common, and if the trunk splits, it can pose a danger to people and surrounding structures. The best thing to do in that instance is to have the tree removed. If there’s only minor damage to the branches, pruning away the damaged parts is the first order of business. You may also want to consult a professional arborist to make sure the tree is healthy.

An unsafe tree can cause serious damage to your home and property, so tree inspections are important to ensure your home isn’t in danger from a nearby tree. Unhealthy trees can also be unsafe trees, as diseases and insect damage can compromise a tree’s stability, leading to potential damage and safety risks.
