We discussed my problem and he preliminarily set a date for the weekend after Thanksgiving, which was fine but pushed our departure back. Later that same day, he had an updated schedule and was able to come a week early which was great for us and he arrived a little early, did his inspection, we discussed options and hired him to do the job, which thankfully he was able to do then. He wrote up his report, submitted it, came back in from his vehicle and did the work in a very efficient and timely manner. With that many locations, it became one of the largest pest control companies in the United States and one of the biggest in the West. The business was started by my family, for whom I worked my entire life. My father was an owner and a general manager of Clark south. However, they sold the business to a major corporation, and is no longer run by our family, so to carry on the tradition, I left the company to start Mary’s Pest Control. However, if you want to try a DIY method that will keep birds away without harming them, mix some water, dish soap, and a few drops of peppermint oil and spray the area you want bird-free. Look for goose repellents that contain the ingredient methyl anthranilate. This is a natural chemical found in grape juice. In human food, it’s often used as grape flavoring. With geese, it’s highly irritating. Grape Kool-Aid contains methyl anthranilate, the active ingredient in most bird repellents. It won’t harm geese, but it will deter them.

Once the animals and their young are out of the house, remove the nest and locate any entry points. Some may be difficult to find because some animals can fit through very small holes. Once you’ve located as many entry points as possible, use materials such as metal or masonry to block off the entry. Ideally, you should choose materials that most animals cannot chew through. Create a one-way door or flap to allow animals to leave but not return. Additional methods include using repellants designed to make an area unappealing to the types of animals that find your home so inviting. 

Vinegar can keep some animals at bay, like deer, rabbits, foxes, and raccoons. Keep in mind that your household pets, like cats and dogs, also don’t like the smell of vinegar. You can soak rags in white vinegar and put them up around your garden beds to keep the pesky critters from eating your plants.
