"I recommend this company without any hesitation. I have very high standards which few people can meet. However, Jose and his team did it! I would come home after work and magically another room was painted with much attention to detail, the area absolutely clean, and my furniture/decorations back in their exact same spot. They were also very helpful in providing color suggestions. Everyone in the crew was excellent. "No" is not in their vocabulary. They even helped with carpentry. They are fair and did not nickel and dime me."

"Fantastic. Once we decided to paint, I got a job, and had a small window of time that I'd be available to be at the house. Steve said he had an immediate opening that worked perfectly with our schedules. Then, I suddenly had visitors coming into town later that week, and so Steve (Berger) double-teamed his guys to get it done before the guests arrived. The team was fantastic. Communicated well about anything they thought might be a question for me. SO professional and polite. The work is spectacular and looks great. We found quite a few pieces of wood that had rotted, and they didn't just try to bondo them -- they replaced the boards (which ended up being quite a few), and you'd never know they weren't the original build. We also had them paint a 16 x 8 shed out back and an enclosed back porch. The price was a little more than we had hoped to pay, but the quality and speed would be hard to beat. Minimal impact to any plants near the house. They worked quickly but so professionally -- all very experienced and knowledgeable painters. We can hardly believe how beautiful the house looks!"

"

It was truly a pleasure working with George Parks Jr. He was very respectful concerning my needs and extremely attentive to the work being done spending hours every day at the job site. He had his painters lay down an elaborate array of plastic sheeting(tarp)throughout the entire living room/dining room/den to catch debris falling from the open beam ceiling during the roof replacement. It was very effective in keeping my house clean.

Also, when rain was predicted(unexpected) George made an emergency call to the roofer on late Saturday afternoon, in order to cover the entire roof with plastic. That night it showered and George called me at least 5 times to check how things were holding up-it stayed dry.

The painters and roofers were also very friendly, seemed to enjoy their work and were competent and professional. I was able to communicate with them without any problem.

George helped a lot in choosing the right roof and picking out the proper stain colors. He was very patient. The job took only one week. End result-my old house looks terrific and I'm very pleased.

"Elliott is a task oriented guy; he knows his business. So glad I followed his recommendations. His crew is nice, punctual and neat. The stained kitchen cabinets look new and the apartment looks new N larger based on the suggested paint color.. The job took longer because they took the time to prep the walls N patch all cracks. This property is a rental and it will show quite well."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Applying a sealer or topcoat after staining wood is highly recommended, though not always strictly required. A sealer protects the wood from moisture, UV rays, and weather-related issues, which is especially important for outdoor surfaces like decks and fences. It also enhances the stain's durability, prevents fading over time, and gives the wood a cleaner, more professional-looking finish. For some indoor applications, a sealer may not be necessary, depending on the type of stain used and the level of protection needed. It's always best to check the stain manufacturer's recommendations and consider the wood's intended use and exposure when deciding whether to apply a sealer.

Here's the deal with leaving used rags covered in oil-based stain lying around in a pile: Depending on the conditions, these rags can take just an hour or up to a few days to combust. The source of ignition is caused by trapped heat that can be compounded if the rags are near a heat source.

Liquid rubber is great for waterproofing, but it can damage your deck if it’s not applied correctly. First, it can trap moisture in the wood if the deck isn’t completely dry before application.  Second, applying it too thickly can create a heavy, rubbery surface layer that peels and cracks under fluctuating temperatures. For the best results, ensure the wood is completely dry before application, and apply the liquid rubber in thin, even coats. A quick inspection every now and then will help you catch any issues early, keeping your deck protected and looking its best.

Wet-sanding and dry-sanding each have pros and cons. Dry-sanding is less messy, so it’s a good option if you’re trying to minimize dust (for example, if you’re sanding an occupied home or working with particularly dry or dusty drywall mud). However, dry-sanding is quicker because you don’t have to keep rinsing a sponge or wait for it to dry before painting.

Yes, beginners can use a paint sprayer, but there is a learning curve. It's important to go slowly, read the instructions thoroughly, and spend some time learning the technique. Watching tutorial videos for your specific paint sprayer model can be very helpful. Before starting your main project, practice on a scrap surface to get used to the sprayer and avoid common issues like overspraying, which can cause drips, bubbles, and other imperfections. For safety, always wear a mask and gloves, and be careful not to touch the sprayer's tip when it's in use, particularly with high-powered airless sprayers.
