"Frustrating. I called for the toilet tuneup at the end of September. Did not show up because of truck accident. The plumber did show up for his appointment and did a good job on my toilet. I decided to get a quotation on my shower leak in rear house. The plumber quoted $180.00. I needed to pay extra money for a shower valve. At the side of the house, there was a water leak in which he stopped. The plumber got sick and I had to deal with a subsitute plumber. He finally finished the job 10/26/17. Gave me a deduction for my frustration."

"After getting a outrageous  quote from Mike Diamond for a drain to be cleared, we sent the not so smell good plumber packing and called Doc.Joe's. Sean and Bryant were on time, cleared our drain and then jetted the line to remove all the build up.
Doc Joe's cares so much about their customers, they take there time to explain the problem in detail and gave me choices. I felt no pressure. In fact before they started they provided me a detailed description on a iPad with the cost up front and a 1 Year Warranty. Very impressed with how clean they were, professional and courteous.
I also asked them to give me a estimate on a water heater. While Sean was preparing the estimate his coworker performed a service on my water heater for free! I will definitely be using Doc Joe's Plumbing again!
Oh and one other thing, before they left, my invoice and estimate was emailed right away and I paid my bill on line. Very nice feature.
Thank You Doc Joe's! See you in November for the installation of my new tank less water heater.

"I called and setup an appointment for the afternoon.  The dispatcher called back in an hour saying the plumber was free earlier and came immediately.  He was there within an hour and gave me an estimate for the replacement and upgrade that I wanted.  I agreed to the price and within 3 hours I had a new water heater.  I can?t imagine where they could have done any better.

"Great customer service, reasonable price and great warranty. They even cleaned up after the job was complete, better than it was. They also performed a safety check of my plumbing and air conditioner system, leaving recommendations accordingly!!"

"The technician emptied the freezer, which was in the basement, to work on the part that needed repair. Then he neglected to put anything back into the freezer, including a turkey I had bought for Christmas and a rack of ribs. Two days after he left, I went out of town for two weeks. The turkey actually exploded and spewed its liquid all over everything, which had to be discarded. I let AHS know and they couldn't even bother to call me or follow up on this. I'm considering not renewing my contract with them because of the quality (or lack thereof) of many of the providers they send."

"They sent out a guy that did a good job. He repaired another contractors mess up. I kept smelling a musty smell and my front yard was wet. The previous plumber had left a plug out and every time I did a load of clothes, the water was going all over the yard. They had to go into the wall. We had to re-sheet rock the wall and replace the floor. This has been going on for two years. I would not use them."

"I called Mountain Plumbing Heating & Air after a large holiday storm knocked out our heater system. I called one other company and waited over a day for them to show up (with no luck) before trying Mountain Plumbing, Ruby responded to my call promptly and very professionally - which was such a breath of fresh air. Almost immediately she sent over Peter to look at our heater unit. Peter was very knowledgeable and spent time to actually diagnose the issue. He stayed until the heater was on and working, this meant a lot to us, you could tell this company genuinely cares about its customers! This is a great company, ran by great people, I would recommend them to friends and will use them again in the future."

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

Neither system is necessarily better or worse than the other, but one of the two might be better for your needs. For example, anaerobic systems are less expensive than aerobic ones and don’t use power to run. On the other hand, aerobic septic systems don’t take up as much space and are typically more efficient than their anaerobic counterparts.

You may notice a septic smell in your yard after it rains if groundwater is entering your septic tank and causing it to overflow. If you experience septic odors after rainfall, contact a licensed plumber. They can construct a drain to redirect rainwater away from your septic tank.

You should pump your septic tank once every two to four years for a family of four, depending on your septic tank size. You should pump a 1,000-gallon septic tank every two years, while a 1,500-gallon tank should be pumped every four years. Water usage also affects how often you should pump your septic tank. If you notice slow drains, foul smells, or gurgling sounds from your drains, you should pump your septic tank as soon as possible.

Adding a thin layer of dirt over a septic drain field is fine, especially if soil erosion has occurred. However, adding too much dirt can compact the soil, reducing the drain field’s ability to absorb and filter wastewater properly. Avoid using heavy clay soil, as it can prevent proper drainage. Instead, use a light layer of topsoil and plant grass to help with soil stability.

Consider site conditions, soil type, required capacity, and system designs compatible with environmental protection regulations.
